Wife and I live in Houston so often take the one hour drive to Galveston for R&R. The best place we have found to stay is the Galvestonian. These are condos for rent and come in all sizes, we have spent time with our children and grand children by renting a two and three bedroom. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Great pool and easy direct beach access. Umbrellas and chairs always available on beach (for a fee). No food or drink service on site. Bring your own snacks and drinks, there is a full kitchen in all condos. All condos have a balcony overlooking the beach. Easy 10 minute drive to so many good restaurants in the area for dinner. Highly recommend this place to anyone with or without kids.

We enjoyed a very clean and nicely decorated two bedroom unit. We had a few cooler overcast days but the hot tub was the best I've ever had so we didn't mind a bit - very nice pool too. It was lovely having the Gulf view from both the living room and one bedroom. We appreciated the use of tennis rackets and balls and the court was in great shape. Very nice grounds and easy beach access although I think they should provide beach chairs free of charge. We loved the location, a bit removed from the busier strip of hotels and public beaches, but just a short drive to dinner, stores, etc. Very friendly, helpful staff.

Had a wonderful time. Great place to chill. The property is a bit isolated, about 2 miles from Galveston's busy beaches. Makes for a beautiful peaceful beach experience. We were there Sunday through Wednesday. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The heated pool and hot tube were great. The grounds were very well groomed and included picnic tables and grills. A short bridge over the grassy dunes leads to the beach. Ample luggage carts and shopping carts were available at the entrance. Every room has at least one ocean view balcony. Ours was a one bedroom deluxe which had two balconies, one off the bedroom and one off the living room. The living room was spacious and very well decorated. The kitchen area was of ample size and had a stove, refrigerator, microwave, lots of dishes and pots and pans. There are a variety of floor plans available. Definitely on our places to revisit list.

Room tip: We had a room on the 11th floor and the view was spectacular.

My group of 5 ladies stayed for a week (Monday thru Friday) and LOVED The Galvestonian. We are already planning a return for next year! The staff was very attentive and helpful; the pool/hot tub and grounds are beautiful and well maintained. There are several individual picnic areas with individual bar-b-que pits as well. Boardwalk to the beach with the option of renting chairs & umbrellas on a daily basis.

Room tip: High floors have a beautiful view!

Front desk clerk nice, low knowledge of anything on the island. The fire pit never lite. We stayed 3 nights, Thursday, Friday and Saturday! Told all 3 nights, yes we will lite tomorrow. Web site not so good to know what they have and what you need to bring. No resturant on site or close. The one. Lose won't open until 11:30 so no breakfast! We needed a cab to hobby, front desk told us no cab goes outside of island. Web site stinks. Lovely place tho

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I’m sorry to hear that your stay was not satisfactory. Weather permitting, we do light the fire pit on Friday and Saturday nights. Both nights were unfortunately too windy to light the fire. I’m sorry that you did not find our website to be informative or easy to navigate. I will look in to how we can make improvements. You are correct, we do not have a restaurant on site. All condos do have fully equipped kitchens available, and we are just a minutes’ drive away from some of the best restaurants in Galveston. There is a restaurant within walking distance, the Porch Café, that does have a great lunch and dinner menu. I appreciate your feedback and apologize that you were unable to get your questions answered by the front desk. Your feedback will help with the training that we have in place for our front desk agents. I hope that the next time you are in Galveston you will give us another chance to exceed your expectations.
