They have very good pastries, I love how they decorate their lattes, very cute. It can get a little crowded because the place is small.

First, this bistro has been renamed to Main Street Bistro & Bakery, and is located in downtown Main Street in Grapevine, Texas. My husband and I have dined there twice in the past three weeks, once for cocktails and dinner, and again for brunch. The food is delicious and very reasonable priced, and the atmosphere is cozy, old-world and charming. We had steak medallions and a chicken spinach salad for dinner, and an omelette and quiche for brunch--all delicious! Their bread pudding is spectacular--enough for sharing!

The ambience is just right, but the service was a bit slow, and my quiche tasted like it had been frozen and reheated in the microwave.

So it's 6pm on Saturday and we arrive in Grapevine for a girls night out/birthday celebration. Spot Chez Fabien, which is really cute inside and walk in and say hello to the hostess. She says there's not any tables available right now..... silence.... We have that moment where we're not sure what to say - this is usually the point where a hostess would say - sorry we're only doing reservations or the wait will be.... After a moment of looking at us - I guess to see if we'd leave or not - the hostess says it's a 15 - 20 minute wait. Fine we say. We sit on the little sofa near the entrance and one of our party goes to the bar to order glasses of wine. She gets the bartenders attention and he yells down from the far end of the bar - what do you want. Not sure why he couldn't walk down and ask her what she'd like.... So she orders and we sip our, admittedly delicious wine and wait. 20 minutes later hostess comes up to us and says - did you still want a table? ..... Yes, we say, we did still want a table. So we get a table. Someone does swing by with some bread and some water glasses and to tell us the specials. Two of us now have empty wine glasses. Still no one comes by to take order or is even in sight to wave over. So finally we're like OK - when waiter shows we'll order another glass of wine and an appetizer and ask for our check at the same time so we don't get caught at end waiting for the check. Finally ended up leaving 20-30 after being seated at table. Was never sure if we had a waiter and if so where that person was. As we left the early dinner seating had cleared out and place was half empty so wasn't a staffing issue. Maybe they were just hoping we'd leave before 7pm reservations arrived, but then why seat us in the first place. Place is so cute and wine was yummy but service was crazy terrible. Missed on every point. We laughed about it all night.
