Very reasonably priced tex-mex. Friendly to children. Clean. Good variety. Brisket tacos were wonderful. Clean restrooms.

Don't eat there if you want Mexican food or even Tex Mex. You will have a better quality if you go to Taco Bell.
This restaurant is back in the hands of the original family that wrote the recipes. Some of them are so coveted that the saying used to be that they would try to get the manager drunk to squeeze out of Manuel the recipe for their charro beans. It never worked. He never told. He is no longer the manager, but the owner is now the original family, and he comes personally to see if you are happy and your meal is good. There food tastes like hand made mexican, my nephew says it is Tex-Mex, as true mexican is much more bland. The chicken enchiladas are the best in East Texas. None of the food tastes like packaged, as some of the competition does. They have a painting of the original chef/cook that started it all. It was said he could remember 50 orders in his memory, without tickets. It's a delicious meal, the salsa is homemade and delicious, the queso, white or cheddar, is delicious. The grandson said to add that they have the nicest servers in town. They even speak graciously to kids. They are remodeling now, but I'll go for the food even without. Yummy.
Taco shell was extremely stale. Cheap cheese from a can over my burrito. Tamale was nothing special. Chips on table were not as good as they were, and the salsa was different, not as good.
When this restaurant originally opened in the old location it was great but once it moved it is about as good as a cheap frozen Mexican dinner. TaMolly is a lot better.
