The idea of 'art-house' cinemas doesn't seem quite as prevalent in the US as some other countries, so it's great to see that Houston has this gem. While it's perhaps a little shabby it's still redolent of the golden age of cinema with its art deco features and it's blazing neon outside (and it's tiny leg room!). We saw 'the Leisure Seeker' which was a little bleak. We've also seen the other movie screening 'The Death of Stalin' which is a must-see;devastatingly funny black comedy. Well worth a visit if you're a fan of old cinemas or indie films.
