Description: Masraff's on Post Oak Blvd is a casually elegant upscale restaurant owned and operated by Houston restaurateurs, Tony and Russell Masraff. The restaurant has quickly become a local favorite with it's unique American cuisine and contemporary ambiance. Best described as American cuisine with a touch of Southern Europe, the seafood, fowl, homemade pastas, lamb, beef and seasonal game will satisfy the most discriminating diner. Soon after opening, Masraff's received stellar early reviews, including the prestigious three-star rating from the Houston Chronicle Dining Guide, as well as being named among the ten new restaurants on the culinary cutting edge in the US by The Wall Street Journal. For a delightful culinary experience, dine at the Chef's Table, where the Chef prepares a gourmet six -course dinner of his choosing. The Restaurant, which has recently moved to 1753 Post Oak Blvd from its former location at 1025 S.Post Oak Lane, seats over 200 for lunch and dinner.

Great visit. My first time here with the girls. Service was good. The food presentation was excellent and very tasty.
We ordered the avocado crab tower, calamari, rack of lamb, filet mignon, halibut, peach crostata, and fresh berries. All portioned very good!

We sat at the bar prior to sitting at our rsvp table, just waiting for the party to arrive. The entire staff was polite and professional. One thing I liked is how all staff had to use a side entrance and not the front door entrance. Every team member that walked in was dressed and ready to work (not adjusting their uniform as if they still need to get ready).

Went for lunch thinking there was a HRW menu - not. That’s ok they have a lunch menu and it’s extensive. The garlic Calamari appetizer is one of the best dishes I’ve tried all year at any restaurant. 5/5. However, the crabcake fell short of our expectations, was somewhat dry and the texture was way off for us. 2/5. Salad with seared tuna was on point, well-dressed and fish very fresh. Also halibut was nice and fresh, but the risotto a bit heavy. Overall a 4 for the food, but a 5 for the service - the manager Thurston was very friendly and helpful. He’s the kind of guy I’d want managing my dining room.

Bartender made a great martini just like I do at home. Excellent food.
Be prepared to drop $100-150 for 2 people. More if you get additional drinks.

Masraff's continues to be one of our favorite restaurants in Houston. They just always hit it out of the ballpark on food (quality and quantity), service, and ambiance (love the ceiling "fireplace" in the bar area and the wine room seating).

When we arrived, we mentioned we had made our reservation on Open Table, but, when they realized we made it for the wrong day, they quickly changed it and said "absolutely no problem, we have a table for you". We told them we were going to have a drink in the bar first and we asked if we might get a table in the wine room area. Again, the "your wish is our command" attitude. Hospitality galore. Love it.

We started with a glass of champagne at the bar and that is where we (re)met Brian, the general manager who just seems like a really nice guy. We learned from Brian that when Harvey hit, the owners/management made the decision NOT to have their employees come in that day (and you can bet they still paid them) as they did not want them to put themselves or their families in any danger. They also ended up cooking a bunch of their food and sending it to Mattress Mac who was feeding first responders. (Their hospitality here go beyond the restaurant walls.) Our service at the bar was nice and all the servers who came to get drinks for other guests in the restaurant all said "hi" to us.

As August 1 was the first day of Houston Restaurant Weeks, this was our first HRW choice. Their HRW menu has FIVE choices each for the starter, the main course and the dessert! There was a 150% chance that we were going to like something on this menu.

In fact, as usual, we liked everything, so we had to resort to the old process of elimination trick. (Ex: I had pork this week, so that ruled out the pork, etc.) So, here is what we chose: Husband: Garlic Seared Calamari (delicious); Filet Mignon (delicious); Texas Peach Crostata (delicious); Me: Jumbo Lump Crab Salad (delicious); Australian Rack of Lamb (delicious); Boozy Milk Shake and Cookies (delicious).

Anyhoo....last, but certainly by no means least, we had a great server - Kenny - from Nigeria, no less. He was kind, knowledgeable and fun. He took stellar care of us. Also, Tony, one of the owners, came over to thank us for being there. He has that good old-fashioned restaurant class of yesteryear.

Think we will be back? You bet. Maybe even for another HRW dinner (or lunch). See you there!

Following the advice of many TripAdvisor's reviewers, we found this excellent restaurant.

The dining room is very nicely decorated. Service is impeccable.

As soon we arrived, our marvelous server, Lucy, who was always smiling and who guided our selections and was very helpful, brought warm bread, butter and olives. I had a wonderful Baby Spinach salad, with goat cheese, walnuts and garlic vinaigrette, followed by a spectacular Grouper served over a risotto with asparagus. shrimp and tempura crawfish and broccolini. For dessert, a perfect warm double chocolate fondant, with ice cream and creme anglaise.

I look forward to trying more dishes at Masraff;s, since every single bite we had was delicious.
