A great standard in the Heights. We can always rely on fresh food and I love the soups, especially the Italian Wedding soup! Neil is the best and a very loyal Heightsonian!

This is a great place for dining in or out, during the daytime hours. Most days, they stop serving hot food at 3 pm and close at 3:30, so be sure you're not arriving too late. The memorabilia covering one long stretch of wall is charming and makes a nice conversation starter. It is quiet and simple -- with an interesting array of sandwiches including vegetarian offerings! Several sorts of iced tea are also available. A real find!

My husband is always looking for the best reuben sandwich. We both ordered and we do not need to go any place else. This was fantastic!

The restaurant has a lot of history, pictures and memorabilia from the past. We were fortunate enough to be there when it was not busy at all and took the opportunity to look around. The staff was accommodating and very nice. We will absolutely be back.

The website's menu is sideways, so I would recommend just going in for a visit. You won't be disappointed.

Just a random stop after seeing the deli while doing morning shopping chores. Went back for lunch and am glad I did. Ham and Brie is a great sandwich and could easily serve two. A classic old-style deli in many ways, with the list of modern specialty sandwiches also on the menu for those who want something less old-style. Will return for future lunches.

This place is the real deal. Classic delicatessen with old school charm! The employees were so friendly and made suggestions on what to order; I went with the ham and Brie which was excellent! My boyfriend got the Reuben and he really enjoyed it (he's a Reuben snob). Very reasonably priced for the portion you receive. A huge bonus is the location--historic 19th street in the Heights which is filled with quirky shops and other small businesses!
