I came down to visit fam and was pleasantly surprised to see a scuba facility. There are a handful of boats, platforms and rock formations to explore underwater, too! Visibility is so so. I was there in the afternoon and it was at 8-10 feet, but they said it's better in the morning.

This is our first camping trip. Turned out very nice one. Kids enjoyed every bit of it. Weather was humid.....and hot. But no complaints. Enjoyed it.

Our State parks should be visited by all Texans or non Texans. We are lucky to have such a place like this to enjoy by everyone. It has plenty of trails to walk, run, or just sight see. It has a 200 acre lake for fishing and swimming, with camping, picnic areas, BBQ pits, screened shelters, water, restrooms, a store for goodies, etc. It is just a $5.00 entry per person per day or something like a $70.00 annual pass that lets you enjoy any State Park in Texas. Beautiful Pine Trees provide tons of shade here. I highly recommend a trip to this Park.

Visited the Huntsville SP in June for a family reunion and had a great time. The pavilion we used was close to the water, and had ceiling fans to distribute the muggy air. We had to walk down a steep incline to access the pavilion, which might be too much for those mobility issues. Also there was no bathroom nearby, one had to get in the car and drive 1/4 mile to get to one. To be honest after all of the rain we had in late May I was surprised the park would even be open.
