While staying at the Hampton Inn across from the Hurst City Government facility my friend and I were looking for a quick lunch. We drove east towards the street light and Italianni's was on the corner, actually walking distance from the three chain hotels within a block.
It was a late lunch and the parking lot was mostly empty so I was expecting a pricey menu. The soup and sandwich items were appealing but on a whim I decided to try the fish special on the board. What a treat! It turned out to be redfish with a delicious sauce with capers. The servers explained that it might be slow because the kitchen was in a shift change but that didn't happen. We were soon enjoying our Italian beer with the bread dipping in seasoned olive oil when the food came out.
Our server was excellent and the lunch prices competitive with fast food. If you happen to be staying at any on the nearby hotels you might want to avoid the traffic leave the car and just walk over for a nice Italian lunch.
