I'm not exactly sure of what I expected to find in Kemah or the Boardwalk Inn but I'm certainly glad that I spent time there! This wonderful boutique hotel (the Boardwalk Inn) was delightful! The staff are some of the friendliest individuals I've ever worked with in my 18 years of planning meetings and events! I don't think they know how to say "no" but instead offer very workable options. They certainly know how to take care of their guests and that is exactly how you feel while staying there....like you're a "guest" in their home. I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of things there was to do in the area and the wonderful restaurant. Great place for small meetings, incentives or even family reunions! Wonderful experience and I'll definitely be back!

We just returned from a long weekend in Texas and spent one night at the Boardwalk Inn in Kemah. Although our stay was short, we thoroughly enjoyed the hotel. The decor was beautiful -- yellows and blues in a spacious room that reminded us of a little beachside bungalow. The balcony overlooked the boardwalk. We were steps away from the restaurants and attractions. Check-in was easy, parking was close. We'd definitely stay again!

The hotel its self is nice, and fun during the day......But for two days we had to hear a live band who could not sing and there is no way to drown out the music.....For the price we paid, I would expect them to atleast have the rooms sound proof...Not a place to go if you want peace and quiet.

The staff was super friendly and helpful. We only booked for one day, but decided to stay for another day, and they were very accomodating to us. They didn't have a double room for the second day, so they moved us to a king room and set up 2 air matresses for the kids. The location is perfect especially if you need a break from the days activities as we did since it was extremely hot outside, and the view was beautiful. The rooms are cute, but are in need of updating. The rooms didn't really look clean because they are so worn. I think they just need new carpet, paint, comforters so they will look cleaner. The air conditioners are cold, but they are so loud. The halls are musty and hot. I would recommend they turn the AC on high in the halls so it doesn't stink so bad. They have a cute little pool on the third floor that provided some much needed relief from the heat, but I think they need some more shaded areas and the deck needs some repair. Overall, it was a good stay and I would recommend this hotel to others just based on the staff and the location. Don't expect much from the rooms, though, and it's a bit pricey for the quality of rooms.

Room Tip: ask for a bay view room

We normally shy away from paying the price that this hotel was asking, but were very glad that we chose to stay here.

With small children the location was excellent. We spent a day out riding the rides on the boardwalk and were able to walk back to the room whenever needed. It was great to not have to drive for meals, shopping, or entertainment.

The hotel itself was wonderful. The staff at the hotel was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean. The only two downsides were the shower with low water pressure and the lack of much of a view of the bay.

This was a great hotel and look forward to bringing the family back for another vacation.
