On a trip through Lubbock, we revisited the former “Hub City Brewery” (closed in 2006) which is now Triple J Chophouse. Decor is more western/cowboy than before and menu has upgraded from burgers to include incredible steaks and more menu options—including pizza. Still a casual place for friends and families, as well as a microbrewery. Thursday night was surprisingly busy and we waited 10 minutes for a table. Our server, Bryan, was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu items. Although it took about 20 min for our main course to come out, our salads and warm yummy rolls had arrived, and we were entertained by the open kitchen as well as the live music (a single guitarist well versed in 60’s, 70’s & 80’s). Both my hubby & I opted for the “smaller” steaks—8 oz “Miss Kitty”! Other options looked intriguing, but were larger cuts. The steaks were tender & juicy—perfectly cooked to medium rare! Absolutely delicious! I had a very generous portion of sweet potato fries and hubby tried Bryan’s favorite side: the creamed spinach—it was VERY GOOD! We’ll be back!

We enjoyed this place three time while we were in Lubbock for work. Nothing fancy just good food. Very busy around 6 but we always ate in the bar area. Had a singer twice while we were there but it didnt blast you out of the bar. We had the same waiter all three times and he was very friendly. Just an all around great place.

Fantastic place for lunch or dinner. Food, atmosphere and service is great! Live weekend music on weekends and a great bar area. Reservations for weekend dinner is best, or get a tall-top in the bar area. Micro brewery on-site.

The food at Triple J never disappoints! If you haven’t ever gone you should! The prime rib on Friday and Saturday nights is the best I have ever had, and a great value at $21.

Our host recommended this place and said that she had never had a complaint. She won't get one from us. Our steaks were cooked to perfection. They have a 6 oz. sirloin that is to die for. Try the chili strips for an appetizer. Excellent. Their beer is excellent and obviously fresh and they make a nice martini. Service is right on time and the atmosphere is delightful. Oh and they had live music on Thursday night.
