Companion and I tried the Shrimp Galley recently for lunch. They seem to run many specials that are reasonably priced. Customer service was fast and friendly. Ordering was cafeteria style with customer pickup at the counter. We had the fried shrimp special and catfish platter. The catfish platter was the best, fish had a crisp cornmeal coating with fries and beans for sides. The shrimp was ok, a bit oily though. Cole slaw and tartar sauce very good. Overall, good for a seafood place on the prairie.

This is one of my favorite places to eat in Lubbock!! The coating on the shrimp is scrumptious!!! Very light and crisp! The shrimp salad is the best!!

This is a go through the line order, get your own drinks, food is delivered to table. They offer a large variety of seafood. Always good.

This South Lubbock institution intrigued me before I came in. The website made me want to try this place. Excellent choice, too. The fried whitefish and shrimp all had perfect textures, both in the meat and in the breading. Wonderful fresh-cut fries. Their hush puppies had just enough spice in them and were perfectly cooked.

Too bad this is the only location in this city. Their seafood is good enough that they should consider branching out.

Being from the gulf coast... this is not the best quality tasting shrimp. I ordered the 20 boiled (peel and eat). They were cooked fine, but they boiled them with no seasoning at all. Very sad and disappointing. Husband had fried shrimp that was very over fried. The Gumbo is something similar to the nasty Campbell's canned soup. Nothing at all like real Gumbo.
But it is expected when you try seafood so far from the ocean.
