We stayed a twin room in this hotel. Its a very nice hotel in a great location. The rooms were spacious and designed in traditional style. The food was good and the wine recommended to us by our waitress was amazing.

This was a lovely, relaxed. "3 star" hotel on a small square close to the 15th Century university. Outside rooms were brilliant although inner rooms felt a bit confined. Staff were very helpful and patient. Food, even for a group of 28 was good, filling, and tasty. Not high end cuisine but no complaints. Greta base for exploring Madrid and surrounding area - we did 5 x UNESCO sites in 5 days - all within 1 1/2 hour drive. Train station within 10 mins walk. €3.40 to Madrid.
Would definitely stop here again.

Room tip: Outside facing with large window important !?!

Thank you very much. It has been a pleasure to have you all in our hotel.
As you said Alcalá de Henares is a UNESCO Site, but it is also a suitable location to meet some others as Toledo, Segovia, Ávila or Cuenca, as you did. We are glad you enjoy your trip and your accommodation with us.
We look forward to seeing you soon.

A very nice hotel. Centrally located in a historic town. The employees were helpful and the food was excellent. It was clean and the room was very roomy for a European hotel. The best part was it's very Spanish.

I spent a lovely weekend here while exploring Alcala. The room was clean and spacious with plenty of storage space should you be staying longer. My only niggles with the room is that there are no tea/coffee making facilities and, in my room anyway, the over bath shower couldn't be attached to the shower pole.
Breakfast was fresh and plentiful, either traditional buffet or hot cooked. The staff were friendly and efficient and the reception staff were very helpful in advising me and booking me a taxi to the airport at rush hour.

One word of warning - some rooms, like mine, are immediately above café bars in the adjoining lane. It can be noisy late at night with general crowd chat and high spirits, especially if you sleep with the windows open. This doesn't particularly bother me but could disturb lighter sleepers.

All in all, I had a lovely stay in a very beautiful old style hotel at a very decent price. I'd certainly stay there again and can wholeheartedly recommend a visit to Alcala.

Everything you need at a good price. The only problem I had was that the shower did not fit into its holder and it made showering, especially washing you hair, rather complicated. Not sure if the air conditioning fully worked. It seemed to work only part time and the rest of the time it just circulated the air and was very noisy. OK in May but not in high summer. Reasonable choices at breakfast, although they could start half an hour earlier for more convenience.
Would definitely stay again for location and value.
