As an Accor gold member for several years, I have a clear understanding about what to expect in the different types of hotels. I have stayed also more than 10 times in this hotel but this time it was really poor service.
When I made my reservation I asked for a late check out. The day of the check out first time someone from cleaning came to the room and I explained her the situation and it was okay. 20-30 minutes later, some was knocking loud and in a way to intimidate. While I said in clear spanish wait that person opened the door while I was underwear. This person stepped in instead of closing the door and wait outside to let me open the door. This person was yelling at me in my room. I didn´t let it escalate. I explained the situation again and the person left. This is the service I got as an Accor GOLD member in Ibis Getafe. Afterwards, the reception came with a lame excuses that they couldn't see my request for the late check out. So that is a excuse to enter the room of people in underwear and yell at them? There is no justification for this poor service, is there?

Grim. Rather nasty hotel. I have stayed a few times of the years but it is now really really lacking in ALL areas. The rooms are dated. The so called new beds are now over 10 years old and they sweat. The corridors are dark and dingy. And as for the restaurant. THEY CAN'T COOK. Had the worse swordfish steak EVER. And when I complained to reception, the rude girl working the bar/restaurant told me off for not telling her first. Saying she could have given me something else which would be hard considering I'm a pescatarian. The whole experience of this hotel is nothing more that 3/10. Bad parking. Bad restaurant, Bad rooms, Can't care less staff, tatty elevators. This is not an IBIS.. This is an F1. Grim

The food is fairly dire if I'm honest.

There isn't any restaurants near by so unless you want to drive your kind of stuck.
It was useful for my customer I needed to visit, but I wouldn't go out if my way to stay there
The staff are pleasant enough

Please be advised! I had my purse stolen in the lobby while socializing with friends from my tour group. According to hotel management, surveillance cameras showed the perpetrator coming in the front door, watching me for 30 minutes and then stealing my purse from my chair. He walked out the front door with my purse that had a large amount of cash, my passport, charge cards, glasses, medication, etc. I do not want this to happen to anyone else. The hotel had no security guard there that night, and the desk clerk seemed indifferent when I first reported my purse had been stolen to her. She didn’t offer information about the security camera until I requested it. I was informed by authorities that night that mine was not the first incident that has occurred there. If what was reported to me is true, I feel that the hotel should have been more proactive in preventing this type of activity.

I'm sorry for what happened during your stay. I do not understand why the police have told him that it happens often because that is not true. All the team is aware of recognizing this type of thieves that act in all the hotels and airports of the world, not only in ibis Getafe. Best Regards.
Bernard
