If you are prepared for a hotel experience without the usual services hotels provide, you will enjoy this chalet budget style resort.
We stayed in a small apartment that can sleep maximum 6 people. We were two families together with a total of 2 adults and 3 kids. We stayed for 2 nights in the summer. It's normally a ski resort, so I'm sure the winter experience is very different. I had looked on line for availability before hand and could not find it - but there seemed to be a few choices when we arrived. This place has lots of rules around the pool, the check-in, and the check-out. Most of the people who stay here are French.
Wonderful: the breath-taking mountain views all around, closet space, kitchenette with fridge & coffee maker, parking is easy, cute village, the Grenouillere restaurant (service and delicious food) next door, the balcony, comfortable beds, bath tub, the drying rack, flexible check-out, friendly reception staff, reasonable price, vaccum cleaner in the apt., nearby playground, lots of hiking paths, useful tourist office in town, many activites from archery to classical music concerts in surrounding villages
Different: You have to rent sheets and towels, you have to clean the place yourself at the end of your stay, you pay per day if you want tv, reception does not provide more than 1 roll of toilet paper

Negative: the pool hours are limited, the Jacuzzi had a locked cover and we were told it would not work all week, we wanted to buy one day of tv to watch a special soccer game and the tv system did not work (but you wouldn't normally need tv here).
If I had not traveled in the area, I would have given this place a lower rating. The truth is, it is expensive to travel within 3 hours drive of Geneva, Switzerland so it is a treat to find a place that covers the basics, is a good place to visit with kids, and does not require that you have a trust fund. You can either plan ahead and go with basics like a sponge, paper towels, coffee filters etc. or use the Sherpa grocery store in town (typical vacation town small grocers with slightly higher prices, local meats and cheeses, plenty of wine at all price ranges, and some fresh eggs and produce).
Great place to visit with kids! Wifi was OK, not perfect.More
