After reading all these reviews I thought I would write about our experiences last year. Me and my partner arrived late on a Thurs night so just dropped our bags and came to this bar that I'd read great reviews about. We had a lovely warm welcome, ordered food which was amazing and had a fab night. Met the old owners of this bar and it was their mum's birthday. We told them that 6 of our friends were arriving sat and that we would bring them over.
Well sat came and 6 of us went there for food as 2 weren't well. We all had food again which was lovely and played some bingo and had a fab night dancing to the singer. Now we had had a long day as our friends had arrived early, we'd gone out for breakfast and a long walk and out early for the rugby. Later that night my partner fell asleep fo literally 5 mins sitting up.
He was told off and made to feel as if he'd committed a crime. I'm not being funny but he hadn't been sick or caused a fight it was literally a 5 min nap. He apologised profusely.
We stayed right to the end of the night and went back the next night when again he apologised. To say the atmosphere was a lot more frosty was an understatement. My friends who hadn't been with us the night before said they had felt very unwelcome. Again we stayed till the end of the night and spent quite a bit of money. My partner was again spoken to when he was on the way to the toilet about the night before by Martin.
And we felt as if they couldn't get rid of us fast enough.
This was such a shame as its a lovely bar and the food was amazing!!!!
