As I wrote back in December, I found that Mamma Mia was closed when I visited it last year. Now I have returned and I am pleased to find it open again and under new management. It seems that the original team passed it on to other owners a year or two back; the quality of food seemed to go down and, equally importantly, the service was poor. It closed in the Autumn and was relaunched at the end of last year by the present owners.
Now it's back to the original style. The food is great and the waiter is friendly and passionate about the food they serve. I ended up going back twice during the week. It's genuine Italian food, not the massed produced stuff found in so many places in the area.
It was not too busy when I ate there, so I wonder if it is generally known that it has returned to form. I hope that those reading this will go there.
