We have visited this hotel before and we like it very much, but this time when we asked as usual for a quiet room, we were told on our arrival that our room was not ready as we had made a special request. We had to wait a couple of hours - and then were directed to what must be one of the noisiest rooms in the hotel, right above the outside stage where there was live second-rate music every night until 11.00 pm. We tackled the rep about it but she denied that there would be outside entertainment and told us that all rooms are quiet in this hotel! So there was no point in asking to be moved. Instead we just left the hotel in the evenings after dinner. . On the plus side the food is marvellous in quality and variety and the pool is lovely.

The hotel is very nice, clean and elegant. The elegancy coming from professional stuff member, cleanness of the territory and more. Certainly this hotel has a very good kitchen, big applause to the chef. Very large variety of food day to day, special menus and variety of fish and meet. If you like cheese and fish you won't be disappointment. The territory is relatively (to neighbouring hotels) large, green and well maintained. You won't expect parties on the swimming pool, it rather relaxing and quite atmosphere throughout the day. Evening a live music was on the daily basis after the dinner.
Minor minuses is "relatively" not close to the beach like 10 minutes but on the back it will take 15 minutes due to extreme uphill. However, compare to the most hotel, Palmeras situated very close to the coastal line. Overall, it is definitely one of the best hotel in the area for the price/value.

Room Tip: all the rooms face the sea!! Take as higher as possible floor for better view

We spent a week in March at the Hotel Riu Palmeras. We were immediately upgraded to a 'bungalow' apartment in the beautiful grounds. This gave us a downstairs lounge and two bedrooms upstairs. Made a change from feeling you were in a bedroom all the time.

The staff were exceptional especially 'Fran'. We have never been to such a friendly hotel. Everyone gave us a warm welcome from the pool man to the general manager.

We don't normally like buffet style food however the quality was excellent. We ate out every other night to break the monotony and swapped our half board for lunch instead of dinner.

We would highly recommend this Hotel.

Room Tip: Book a bungalow if you want privacy away from the main block. Good for young family/babies

Only a short review as we are about to set out for the airport to return home.

I can't fault this hotel in any way. We have a 10 month old baby and the staff here have been so accommodating to our needs. They are incredibly attentive at meal times and you are never trying to catch their attention to remove dirty plates or get drink a drink refill. They seem to be trained very well and genuinely care about the customers.

We had a small house on the complex which we didn't expect which was very nice. 2 bed, 2 bath and lounge.

Not much of a british area but the guests here are not ignorant or rude. I think the price of this hotel drives out the riff raf.

I would certainly recommend this hotel to families or couples, and i will be returning later this year.

Reception have been very helpful also. Helped by printing boarding passes, advising on the local pharmacies and arranging the excellent porters to deliver and collect luggage from our room prior to departure. This hotel deserves 5 star status.

Room Tip: The bungalows numbers 1-6 are very nice but expensive.

Just returned from a fortnight's stay at this lovely hotel. Everywhere is absolutely spotless, the staff are always smiling and work extremely hard. The food choices are plentiful with something to suit everyone, the flambe in the evening is ooooh so good. The swimming pool area is beautiful and the pool men are so helpful and friendly and once again work so hard. Pool towels and sunbed mattresses are plentiful and freely available. The Saga Rep Michelle is one of the best Reps I have ever met, nothing is too much trouble for her, she lives in the hotel and is always on call. Entertainment is passable with something featured every evening. The negative points are few but worth mentioning - firstly Saga is the only British company with guests and they only have 20 rooms so the Brits are scarce, you are overwhelmed by the Germans and they are so rude. The beach is a 5/10 minute walk away and then you have to negotiate 83 steps down to the beach. If you like to sunbath and don't want the drag to the beach then the pool is your only alternative but you cannot put a pin between the sunbeds and it is difficult to move them around due to the lack of space. Playa del Ingles is a sprawling resort so many things are a reasonable walk but the taxis are inexpensive, plentiful and safe.

Room Tip: Rooms on 1st floor have sunbeds on balcony. Afternoon sun is on rooms to the left of hotel with lower room numbers.
