Large hotel in the perfect location for holidaying in Las Americas.
Across the road from the Safari centre and just off the beach. Walking distance to everything.

Read a lot of reviews complaining that it's not 5 star. However I'm not sure Mediterranean Palace actually claims to be 5 star.
Med Palace is part of the MareNostrum Resort which includes the Cleopatra Palace and Sir Anthony.
You can use the Cleopatra facilities but not the Sir Anthony.

It's seems Med Palace is 3 star. Cleopatra is 4 star and Sir Anthony is 5 star.
If you want 5 star you have to pay for it! Med Palace is very reasonably priced in comparison to other hotels in the area.

Very large pool area. Inflatables, water polo etc on Wednesdays. Perfect for families.
Although we travelled in November and still struggled to get sun loungers so it must be a nightmare in Summer. Sir Anthony hotel in built right over the top of Meds pool area so it blocks any views the Med Palace used to have.

Breakfast buffet is very good. Plenty of variety and options for everyone.
Again struggled to get a table for breakfast in November so summer months will be a nightmare. Other than that the breakfast was very enjoyable. Seating area outside if you can get a table.

Rooms are dated but fairly large, clean and comfortable large beds. Decent balcony with plastic furniture. Large bathroom with bath tub and separate shower cubicle.
Free safe. Fridge for hire.

Cafe/convenience store next to reception which was handy.

Impressive, yet dated, reception area with water features and large chandeliers.
Glass of cava on arrival.
Staff very helpful and professional.
Mentioned we were just married and got sent a complimentary bottle of cava and fruit basket sent to our room on the first night. Nice touch.

It appears Med Palace was 5 star back in the 90s. It may not be anymore but it's still one of the better hotels in Las Americas for a reasonable price. Can't complain. Would return.

This hotel has out dated rooms and I would not rate it 5 stars. The breakfast is nice and gorgeous swimming pool. The reception hall looks amazing. The most things I didn't like is cheap market in the tents they set up on the basement.

Just back from a stay here. We like the area but our favourite the Vulcano was fully booked. This was a last minute choice - my mum has had a tough year and wanted a week in the sunshine. Nice glass of cava on arrival, nice reception area, friendly staff. But the room...it smelled like old damp clothes, as if it hadn't been used for a while. We hired a fridge, it leaked. The food was plentiful but being a vegetarian the choice was limited; cheese & tomato pizza, roasted veg and salad etc. We were forced to eat out twice so not an expense we had expected. Again, sun loungers had towels left on them and nobody removed them so often getting a good spot was ruined. There were a lot of Germans staying there, a few British etc so not as friendly feel overall as Vulcano. I have stayed in Vulcano and Bitacora and I cannot place this hotel in the same league. Will not stay here again. 3* is generous - mostly for the staff who were all very helpful.

Room Tip: Make sure you get a pool view as we overlooked the noisy road.

Dear guest,

Let me first thank you for sharing this comment and giving us through this Web Page the chance to explain you some details about your comments. I am very sorry to know that your stay has been below your expectations.

In our buffet, we try to offer a largest choice of food. That is why we have more than 170 products for breakfast and more than 130 products for dinner. Besides that, if you don't find anything, our Maître will be happy to organize anything you wish with our chef.

Please accept my deepest apologies if there was some issues with our room facilities. In this case, the best is to contact directly our reception and they will send someone from our technical staff.

Although you have expressed your intention of not returning, if you changed your mind please let me know and I will take special care of your stay.

Best regards,

Excellent location, lovely hotel although the rooms could be doing with being upgraded as they are really dated. Breakfast is really good with a wide range of dishes. The staff should be praised as they are all so helpful. Will certainly return.
