Stayed here for the first time in September with my boyfriend and neither of us can say a bad word about this hotel. we had to wait an hour for our room because we had an early flight but other than that everything else went unbelievably smooth. We stayed in a plunge pool room in the main part of the hotel and thought the room and balcony were perfect. The balaconys for the plunge pool rooms are huge! Staff are so helpful and kind, they really make this hotel was it is. Will definitely be returning and recommending this hotel to everyone!

Me and my partner booked 5 nights (kids free) break to Tenerife and chose Cleopatra Palace for it's location. Paid extra for the sea views and had a great holiday. Nice touch at check in they offer you some champagne and then your bags are taken to room by the porter. Had to pay 14 euros for the fridge but least the safe was free LOL. Rooms are nice and clean and yes they are a bit dated but it was just a bed for us. We booked on a B&B basis but the funny thing is we like going out and about so ate out every day. Beaches on your door step and we mostly stayed at the beach each day instead of the hotel pools. Would like to come back again as we loved the hotel/resort.

Room Tip: Sea view is worth the extra money.

We have stayed here many times. Although it is looking tired there is much to like about this hotel. The location is great- on the coast with lots of good bars and restaurants on the doorstep. The rooms are large and comfortable, with free safe and wifi (but no tea/coffee-making facilities). The public areas are very grand, with marble and mirrors everywhere and lots of plants in huge pots. The swimming pool area is very nice - lots of sunbeds and umbrellas.
The breakfast buffet is one of the best we have seen anywhere. We also enjoy the fact that someone plays the piano during breakfast.
The staff in the hotel are always very helpful.
This time we had a room with a plunge pool for the first time. The balcony is large with sunbeds and an umbrella (and the pool, of course).
Our bathroom was at one end of the room with a corner bath, walk-in shower, two basins and a separate toilet. We liked the walk-in shower but found it odd to have the bathroom as part of the room.
However, our concern was the fact that the floor was dirty! The floors were mopped every day but this did nothing to get rid of the dirt or the urine stains by the toilet bowl (ew!!). We intended to raise this with the hotel via a questionnaire on checkout and in the meantime didn't walk around in bare feet.
When my husband spoke to our travel company rep he mentioned the issue in passing (he was asked what he thought of the hotel). We only realised later that she had told the hotel. Someone popped their head round the door when I was reading on the balcony and asked if everything was ok and I said yes. I only realised later that she was asking if the cleaning was ok. Given that the hotel were now aware of our concerns we wanted to show them how dirty the floor was (after cleaning). We phoned reception and were told that someone would phone us back. They never did, nor did we get a questionnaire.

I had looked at trip advisor nearly every day looking at the latest reviews for cleopatra palace after I booked it nearly a year ago so was expecting the odd complaint here and there to be justified. We arrived there Monday lunchtime and greeted straight away by champagne ( off to a good start all ready) once our bags were taken to our room see had a little explore and were amazed at the size of the place and it was spotless. We watched a show put on that night in the hard rock cafe by the staff a sort of grease tribute and it was excellent . Throughout out stay the staff were polite and very helpful . The breakfast is out of this world there is so much to choose from you will not go Hungary. The pool was surprisingly warm considering it only sees a limited amount of sun die to it a position. Free towels are available for the beach and pool area . The beach was 20 yards away from main entrance the hotel is situated perfectly to all the resturants and bars and I recommend you visit the beach bar outside the hotel at sunset for some stunning views.
Our room was basic but very clean and suited us perfectly as we only needed a bed and shower for the week anyway . Ok they may need a bit of updating like other reviews say but they rearly ain't that bad
. I must say a big Thank you to all the staff as they truly were brilliant while we were there .
We are all ready planning our return trip next year .

Room Tip: Probably worth paying for a room with sea view as it would be lovely, but we had a view over a garden area which was lovely, as well.
