“Clean, small place to stay”

What we liked:
We really liked the Spanish Village community of about 30 homes. The homes are built out of concrete blocks and some are nicer than others, with better landscaping, appearance, fences with courtyards, etc. This house had a nice screened in porch that our dogs loved! It was rainy while we were there so we didn't get to spend much time outside.

The house is comfortable and clean but is really tiny! It is nicely decorated and has fresh new grass outside. It is easy walking distance to many of Port A things you might need (across from Stripes gas station/store), we loved the ceramics painting place next door and it is dog friendly! It's a one bedroom, but there is no door to the bedroom but my husband and I usually get up around the same time so that was not an issue for us. But if you are a light sleeper keep in mind it is more like an efficiency and if anyone is up in the kitchen, you won't be able to sleep in the bedroom.

Things we didn't like:
There is no dresser to be able to unpack in and there were a lot of issues that we had to address with the management company. The water heater went out while we were there, so they allowed us to shower in another empty unit (thankfully). There are not enough pots & pans in the kitchen and no bakeware (like a cookie sheet). The silverware set was incomplete and only had tiny teaspoons and had nothing that you could eat soup with and the trashcan is broken. I addressed all of this with management when I checked out. Hopefully, they make some changes.

The couch is pretty small and there are no foot stools/ottomans. So, there is no way to relax back and put your feet up. (That's us being nitpicky but it's something we really missed).

Overall, it was fine for our long weekend, but we probably wouldn't rent that particular unit again. The management company was really great and easy to work with and were very nice when we had no hot water!

Nice updated close to beach off Main Street. Everything was great. They fixed our lack of hot water within three hours of notifying them. Enclosed porch and BBQ grill a bonus. Would stay here again!

“Wonderful!”
Reviewed 7 December 2016 for a stay in November 2016

The property was easy to find and centrally located so we could walk most everywhere.
The screened in Porch was VERY relaxing, and we were blessed with wonderful weather.
The agents were agreeable to our late check-in, and made picking up the key easy and convenient.

We highly recommend this rental, and hope our recommendation does not cause the cottage to be swamped with reservations because we definately plan a return stay.

Liked best: The screened in porch and the fact that the cottage was pet friendly.
Liked least: Trash can in the kitchen had a broken lid that kept falling off.

“Spanish Village Cottage”
Reviewed 7 November 2016 for a stay in November 2016

Excellent place to stay!!!! Comfortable sheets, well equipped kitchen, great shower in bathroom, screened porch and two TVs. Do not have to go far to reach beach, fishing piers, shopping or eating out.
Will certainly go back and hopefully get the same cottage.
