Thank you for the kind review! Was there anything that could have been better about to stay to warrant a 5 star review? We hope to see you again!
We took a family vacation and stayed the weekend here. What a great family owned place! Nice pool and great staff. Very friendly!! Very accommodating. We Will definitely come back and stay at shark resort!!!
Thank you so much for choosing the Shark Reef Resort! I am so glad that you enjoyed our pool!! We look forward to seeing you again!
A few basic amenities you expect with a any Hotel. A.C., Water, Electricity and a nice bed. The A.C. is so loud it was impossible to sleep. Water went out and when management was notified Jennifer said she'd send someone. They never came. The light switch does not work and the cord to the wonky ceiling fan/light was broken. The bed was the least of our issues but was by far the WORST RUN DOWN BED OF ALL TIME. To add insult to injury when I kindly asked Jennifer(Owner) why she never sent someone she was rude and confrontational. She literally argued with me and told me too bad so what. Avoid at all cost.
Run down. Maintenance of room was nonexistent. Paint in the bathtub peeled off all over the soles of my feet. Who paints a bath tub? Awful beds that sagged no matter where you slept on them. Super noisy window AC unit. Should have moved after the 1st night or rejected it on first sight. UGH!
My fiancé and I were in town purchasing a new boat, we needed somewhere cheap and in town for one night. This was the only dog friendly place with a hot tub on the island for less than $100 a night.
There is a big area with a playground, washer pits, BBQ pits etc, that would be really nice, but it is over grown with weeds and sticker bits every where (not really pet friendly).
The pool and hot tub is really nice and we got to take advantage of it with no one else in it in the evening. This was nice.
The room could be nice, if it was taken care of. The floors were dirty, I found myself wearing sandals inside because my feet fit dirty walking on the tile. There's also not any lights in the room except for one lamp on the night stand, one in a weird corner closet, and one in the bathroom. You have to have the blinds open to really be able to see. The bathroom was the real problem. The shower was dirty, someone had tried to refinish it and it was peeling all over. The dirty tile really bugged me (Eew!) the toilet seat needed to be replaced, there were raw spots where it was down to the wood (Seriously, these are $10 at Walmart).
If someone put in a little bit of maintenance these could be cute little rooms. If we stay here again it will be in a cottage, i don't know about the inside, but they looked cute outside...
This is a nice quiet place to stay. It is an older hotel but has been cared for. The are a lot of updates to the property. It is pet friendly. It has bench seats by each room. Owner was frendly and accommodating. All the staff was frendly and would get you anything you needed for the room. Also on the site are several cabins to rent. We slept well every night we were here. The is a continental breakfast in the morning. Has a nice outdoor pool and a center courtyard. We would stay here again
