Description: The Goose's Acre Irish Pub stood on Main Street, Midleton, Ireland, immediately in front of "The Goose's Acre," a historical landmark named by locals where geese gaggles grazed in the 1800's. The pub opened in 1886 and was handed down from father to son through the years. In 2005, the pub was forced to close to make way for new development. While back in Ireland visiting relations, Brian Young and Colm O'Neill proposed purchasing the contents of the pub, to include both bars, from the previous owner who was distraught over the pending loss of the pub's history and heritage. Although it meant shipping the pub across the Atlantic Ocean, the previous owner was ecstatic that The Goose's Acre Irish Pub would continue its traditions of bygone times. Brian Young and Colm O'Neill made the decision to bring this authentic pub to The Woodlands to share the romance and history of years past. We welcome you to pull up a chair and enjoy the experience of The Woodlands only authentic European Pub. You'll find Happy Hour (all day long!), a traditional yet inventive bar and dining menu, the best drinks a most a truly irreplicable Irish Pub feel with the beautiful, hardwood fixtures and original furnishings.

Fun time at dinner time. This place has an extensive menu for both food and beverages. Daily specials, and they don't suck. Some places have terrible specials, or on food no one ever orders. (You know who you are....) Not the Goose. This place gives you half price fish and chips on Monday, half price pizza on Tuesday, half price burgers on Wednesday....I mean, damn!
And guess what.....the food is actually great! The beer and whiskey menu has something for everyone. Texas has some crazy weather, but the outdoor seating here has a great view and fans or heaters, depending on the day. Right on the Waterway in the woodlands, so you have the water, the people watching, the lights at night. Pretty snazzy. Their FB page is always updating - game nights, live bingo, running club, it's all here. The day I went, I chowed on fish and chips. Crazy good. I have a very high bar for chips, so this is saying something for real. My buddy had shepherds pie, which she said was excellent, so if you eat land meat, this has your name on it. Service was great, and it's very much an adult atmosphere at night. Not only are there no families, you won't find anyone under 21. The decor adds to the pub atmosphere. I love everything about this place and will be back soon. Possibly tomorrow.

Have eaten here three times now. The upstairs (street level) area which consists of the bar, booths etc. has the feel of a real English Pub. The waterway level has its own charm but the outdoor patio "furniture" leaves much to be desired and is NOT COMFORTABLE
Food is okay but not spectacular. Service is spotty.

Not been here for a while. Food and service was very good as normal. Place was very busy so had to wait about 20 minutes for a table. Only complaint was the air conditioning, they always seem to have it on blowing out old air even when it is cold. So depending on what table and seat you have it can be rather chilly in there, also you have to eat your food quick before it gets cold.

This was a stop on a pub crawl/bachelor party and I enjoyed this a lot! I plan to return as I did not get to try any of their food and the menu had some good choices. Drinks are really good and the Irish Mule has a kick! Lots of beers on tap and just an overall good spot.
