Great atmosphere. Pleasant place for our business luncheon. I heard the prices were high, so when I saw the $8.00 pizza and salad, I ordered that. Pizza was just bad. Crust was not even as good as pizza chains. Salad was ruined by way too much dressing. We had an absolutely wonderful server. Our experience was a mix of bad and good. Might try again.

The wife and I visited on an early Saturday night for drinks and an appetizer before the symphony. Service was very kind and down to earth. We ordered 2 glasses of merlot, a vodka sour and a exceptionally delicious Tito's Texas Mule. Of which I recommend all three. We also shared the Flat Bread Steak. (Tenderloin steak with truffle arugula in a balsamic reduction served on top of homemade flat bread) It was as good as it sounds. Definitely pricey but thats what you should expect at a place like this. Ours totaled around $60 (excluding tip) We'll definitely be using this restaurant as our pre-performance get togethers!

We were excited to try this place, and it didn't really disappoint, but only because we didn't eat off the menu. They offered our favorite Pinot Noir wine, so we ordered a bottle at a VERY reasonable price! When we looked the menu over, we soon found they are in love with Buffalo Meat. Come on guys...really? Yes, it's lean, but I don't eat gourmet food because it's lean! When we decided to finish our wine and bread and not order, the chef came out. I thought he was a bit of a snob, explaining that the food offered was Mediterranean, not particularly Italian, and from specific regions. We thanked him, and since he was interested in pleasing us, we decided to just go with it. He did make an awesome mixed beet salad, and an off menu item with homemade noodles that were delicious and light. The resulting dinner was quite good. However, based on the menu and the cost, we may not go back.

So, if you live here or visit, you know that Tyler is not a food Mecca. So, it was nice to find Villagio del Vino. Salads are fresh, the pizzas are tasty as are the other menu items. I had the VDV pizza with chicken meatballs and sausage and it was quite tasty. The 14 yr old in our group had the chicken Parmesan and left nothing but an empty plate. One of the few palaces in town with real Osso Buco.

Prices are reasonable and the wine list very accessible. The main dining room is open and sometimes suffers from temperature control issues. Has an outdoor patio for nicer weather and a quiet bar.

Elegant yet comfortable atmosphere. We chose Villaggio del Vino for a birthday dinner. Loved it! Our salads and pizza were delicious. Lindsey was our server and she was fabulous. Very engaging and attentive. We will ask for her when we go again. And we look forward to going again soon and many more times. Highly recommend.
