We are a frequent visitors of the Montage and we are very excited to see the much needed change to Apex. The new menu is great. They have a great selection of steaks and cooked to perfection. We have been twice to experience the new menu and both times were very enjoyable. I had the NY steak which is my go to steak and it was very good. Wife had the hanger steak and it was the best hanger I have ever had, full of flavor. Go here for the best steak in PC

Lunch at the Apex meant all our expectations plus more! The fish tacos were outstanding and several of us shared the Cobb Salad which was delicious. The service was top notch - thanks to Tyler! Beautiful setting outdoors on the patio- with shade. They don't even charge for valet if you're having a meal. We can be pretty picky - but nothing but praise for the meal and experience!

We had dinner here 2 years ago but we heard they had a new menu and we were staying at the Montage so instead of going off property, we decided to have dinner here again. Located down the hall from the lobby, this is a beautiful restaurant. We didn't care as much for the menu selection - it was explained to us that it's now focused on people coming off the slopes (it's August, in the 90's?) so it's beef-heavy (think Ruth's Chris). We ordered wine, the chicken and the salmon and the street corn, mac and cheese and fries as sides (again like Ruth's Chris). Warm bread was brought to our table which was very good. The chicken and salmon were delicious, fries so-so, mac and cheese good and the street corn very good. We should have stopped right there, because everything was wonderful up to that point. But we love to taste different dishes when we dine out, so we decided to order the donuts - big mistake. After more than 15 minutes, our server came to our table to tell us "they needed extra attention" and he hurried off - we decided then and there to cancel, but he ran off so quickly we didn't have the chance. After another 10 minutes we started looking around for anyone to cancel our order and sign the check. Our server was busy with a large group and managed to keep his back to us so that we couldn't make eye contact and wave him over. We saw him nod his head towards someone and that person brought over our dessert - they're not even donuts. They're sugar-coated donut holes. Almost 25 minutes for these? I buy the exact same donut holes at my local grocer. Our server apologized when he finally brought over our $200 check, but we were not happy. It had bee a lovely dinner and ended on a sour note. Just be honest and say the order was screwed up . . . the "extra attention" comment was just silly. So instead of talking about the great entrees, we talked about how those stupid donut holes held us up for almost 30 minutes. The chocolate mousse cake that was in our suite when we arrived was a great dessert. It was my husband's birthday which the hostess acknowledged - after spending $200 at your restaurant how about a comped drink for our inconvenience?

Our evening at Montage was phenomenal. Impeccable service. Friendly and welcoming valet. The hostesses were lovely. Alexa the sommelier was helpful and knowledgeable. Sean our server was professional and super knowledgeable about the menu and life! We had a lovely time, and as it was my birthday dessert was the bomb (literally and figuratively!) We recommend the crab cakes, tenderloin and trio of frites. Everything was cooked to perfection, so cheers to the chefs!!! Thank you for a wonderful experience.

If you are looking for the very best food in Park City, you must visit the Apex restaurant at the Montage Hotel. The fish tasted like it was caught the same day (which must not be the case as they are 2,000 miles from the nearest ocean). Every part of the meal from the service to the food was impeccable. I have eaten at 10 fine restaurants in Park City, but none better than Apex.

Dear Eric L,

Thank you for sharing such a wonderful review of Apex with the TripAdvisor community! Our Culinary and Front of House teams were overly pleased to read your review and share it with the rest of our resort.

We have recently made some changes to our Apex menu and hope you had the opportunity to try some new menu items. Our chefs work incredibly hard to ensure we provide the freshest and most local products, and you are certainly correct about the fish. We receive multiple shipments per week from our seafood sources and Chef Ojeda likes to feature unique nightly specials depending on what is most fresh in the kitchen.

Thank you again for your feedback and we look forward to your next meal with us!
