We were staying on Main Street in Park City, and we were looking for an inexpensive local restaurant for dinner after spending the afternoon in Provo Canyon. Based on the tripadvisor reviews we decided to try Sergios.
My husband is of Mexican heritage, and we live in Los Angeles County where there is a proliferation of authentic Mexican restaurants. We were with our friends from Baltimore, who do not have the same opportunity to enjoy authentic Mexican food.
This is a truly authentic restaurant. You will not find gringo food, except for the chips. There are no tostadas on the menu, but rather sopas. There is a salsa bar with many different types of salsas, mild and hot. The tortillas are warm and homemade. So when you make your food choice order something that has a homemade tortilla and could potentially need salsa.
I ordered a Carnita sopa, which is a thick corn tortilla with pork, lettuce, tomato, and queso cheese. It was $3.50, and one filled me up. My husband ordered a Carnitas burrito and he was only able to eat 1/2 of the burrito. His meal came with beans and rice. While the rice is only average, the beans tasted just like his mother made--delicious. His burrito was $10.00. It could have fed two people. Our friends ordered chicken enchiladas, and chicken fajitas. Each meal could have fed two people. The fajitas come with homemade warm flour tortillas, though you can order corn tortillas. I think our friend made five tacos out of the tortillas and the fajita mix.
The restaurant is colorful and clean. Service is prompt. Our bill came to $15 and our friends $35, as they ordered two large meals that could have fed 4 people.
We highly recommend the restaurant.
