I love Hotel Vermont. I’ve traveled to Burlington at least once a year for business for the last 15+ years. And Hotel Vermont is by far the best Hotel option in my opinion. Here’s why:
- modern rustic decor w/ Tivoli radios
- locally sourced materials, amenities, food, etc.
- amazingly comfortable bed
- quiet
- great location near lake and downtown
- Juniper and now Hen of the Wood - excellent restaurants (and recent addition of room service -yay)
- fast free WiFi
- communal (each floor) filtered still and sparkling water dispenser, Keurig, fruit, tea

The reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is the rooms and amenities are showing quite a bit of wear already. Holes in throw pillows, pipes loose on bathroom walls, robes pilly and worn. And the service is good but not great.

Still my favorite place to lay my head in Burlington!

We had two rooms for three nights there and we loved the place.
The decoration of the hotel is great, in a modern woody atmosphere.
You may rent bikes there or walk to the Main Street or to the Champlain Lake. Such a beautiful place.
The receptionists are so nice and can really help you organise sightseeing of the area.
The breakfast is nice although it's a la carte.
We liked the free tea, coffee, fruits, water next to the elevator.

My wife, daughters ages 14 and 12, and I stayed here for two nights after picking one of the daughters up at camp. We have never visited Burlington. We typically stay at major chains; there is a Hilton and a Courtyard adjacent to the Hotel VT. We were very glad we made the choice we did.

Positives
1. Everything is unique, not cookie cutter. Lots of wood in the rooms, toiletries are different. Good printed information about Burlington and surrounding area is provided in the room.
2. Extremely comfortable room. Beds are firm and comfortable, bathroom is modern, spacious and functional. There is a desk/couch/shelving unit along the windows, so there is room for 4 people to hang out in the space without bothering each other. Window coverings block out most of the light and are easy to use.
3. Warm Vermont service. Front desk and valet/bell staff are welcoming and personable.
4. Convenient location. Hotel VT is located within walking distance of both the lakefront and Church Street Market. Note that each requires a walk of less than a half mile, but either the outbound or return legs of the trip will be uphill due to Burlington's topography.
5. East parking in the multi-story lot next door.
6. Good restaurants in the building or next door.

Minor considerations
1. You will hear buses and other large vehicles pass by on Cherry Street.
2. Aside from the adjacent restaurants you will need to walk a bit to all shopping and most dining options in Downtown Burlington. Our daughter is presently on crutches and we drove to the downtown restaurants and the ferry pier. Most people will be able to walk these distances, but you should be aware of this if someone in your party has mobility challenges.
3. Rates can get expensive, but it's worth it!

Wife had a business function at hotel and I tagged along. Great decision. Zero complaints. August weather in VT, perfect. Hotel room, perfect. No hassel free garage parking, perfect. Staff, perfect. Fitness center, perfect. Proximity to night life, perfect. Get the drift?

We had a very enjoyable stay at Hotel Vermont. Clean rooms and modern amenities. Bikes available to borrow to visit the area.

The modern shower is one a really like. It sprays water on not just a mist.

Thanks for the great experience.
