We stayed at this establishment for a sports-focused weekend in the middle of August. We had a lot of gear and needed a spacious (and more casual) place to accommodate us and our equipment. The Days Inn, Colchester, VT fit the bill perfectly.
Don’t be fooled by the sad exterior of this chain budget inn just outside of Burlington, VT. The inside lobby area is quite cheerful, complete with well-decorated reading nook and fireplace, pretty (albeit small), swimming pool, and breakfast cafeteria. There is an elevator and offers simple, clean, and spacious rooms with refrigerators. While we were there, we saw a pleasant mix of students, couples, singles, and families happily going in and out. All seemed to be enjoying their stay.
Perhaps the best reason to stay here is its proximity to Burlington and the highways going to Stowe, Bolton, and other ski and recreation areas. Downtown Burlington, with its universities and eclectic mix of shops and restaurants (including Ben and Jerry’s) is only five minutes away. It is also ten minutes from the Lake Champlain ferries.
In sum, this is a clean, cheerful, and family-friendly establishment. We had a great time!!! Highly recommend.More
