The staff was rude and grumpy. Perhaps because it was the end of the season the ski school instructors were impatient and rude. Private lessons were good but communication between staff was miserable. I would not return.

Well, sorry to hear that Rachel as I was starting to get used to responding to multiple 5 star reviews and notes of over-delivering and family joyfullness. We usually systematically eliminate the rude and grumpy but one or two may have slipped through the cracks. Such is the case when dealing with human beings I suppose, but we certainly try our best to stay positive on behalf of creating good guest experiences. Sorry to hear you won't return but we wish you a wonderful winter, and wide smiles, wherever you land.

Best regards

This resort is top notch. The skiing and riding is incredible when they have snow which never seems to be a problem. I would frequent this mountain if it was closer to my home. The room rates and lift ticket combos are very reasonable.

Thanks so much for the review pelletier_23. Hopefully we still see you travelling our way at least once a year; we'll make sure to load up on snow, again, before you land.

Best regards and thanks again

Steve

Title should say it all but add 64 inches of snow the week earlier. It has been our best ski trip to Jay. Groomed trails were perfect but glades were just as good. Plenty of sun even came home with a skiers tan.

Room Tip: Love the fact that we just drop off the car and do not need it until we leave for home.

thanks OK2. Crazy amount of snow this week and thrilled you got your fair share of it. We'll schedule it again for your next visit.

THEFT - WORST customer service ever - Zero consideration for customers...and misguidance on the steps to follow. We got our board stolen on sunday ,March 11th. ( capita outerspace 156, if you see it don t hesitate to push the theft rider in a pit) UNDER A SECURITY CAMERA on the stateside part of the mountain. We couldn t use our ski keys there because it s old cheap wooden rack. We came in the chalet, stayed inside for 20 min and BOOM, Board was gone.. we asked to talk to security. After waiting for more then half an hour, an nonchalant dude came to talk to us and take our declaration: ON A NOTE PAD. He told us that it had authority to make an official report so ne need to call the police. Official report.. on a note pad, is that a joke? Said he would mail the report. which i received yesterday, so 17 days after. The report is a photocopied sheet with Hand written information illegible, AND with mistakes for what could be read. Not even an apologize note or a couple of ski pass to make it up. The so called report is not even considered official by insurance. We SHOULD have called the police. And regarding the cameras, the same security agent answered my email with a ' we checked the camera.. we found nothing'' How can you see nothing on a camera pointing at the scene...This is seriously a joke. SO 1000$ worth material, stolen, and not even a word of honest consideration. The mountain is good fun, but i will never feel safe and as happy to go anymore. The resort is 50% responsible of my loss for forbidding snow equipment inside BUT not providing descent safe rack outside. And on top of that security is a joke, and lliars pretending they have authority so you don t call the police ( so you won t bring bad publicity i guess) and not even a manager considered us enough to take 5 minutes of their time to talk to us, when it will take me months to save to be able to buy a new equipment. Jay Peak Team, you have a despicable behavior.

Sorry to hear about this Emilie (though, truthbetold, we both suggest and sell locks that work fine with our wooden rack system inside the Gear shop and in many sporting good stores). The likelihood that your board was stolen, and not simply picked up erroneously, is low and I'd be happy to take a look into finding a way to retrieve it for you. Your best bet is to send a note to our Director of Security Tom Howell (thowell@jaypeakresort.com), with me on cc (swright@jaypeakresort.com) and we'll do our best to put our eyes on it.

Sorry to hear about this and hopefully we can get to a happier ending by finding your equipment

My family (2 adults + kids ages 6 & 8) had a great week at Jay Peak, we felt like we had the hills/facilities to ourselves as we went the week after March Break.
We stayed at the Tram House Lodge, the room was excellent and great for ski in/out. Easy to cook meals in the room, lots of space for everyone.
The waterpark was definitely a highlight of the trip, we spent a couple hours there everyday. The new climbing wall/ropes course was also a big hit.
The one let-down of the trip was the restaurants - we got take-out pizza and also went to Howies, but options were average. Pizza was a bit light on toppings. Howies was OK but nothing special, the perogie dish was more like pasta than perogies.
There were some facilities that were closed since we were "low" season, but the lack of lines/crowds on the hills and in the waterpark more than made up for some reduced choices.
Overall a great resort for families!

Glad you enjoyed your stay Casrah. THL is one of our best options and we're glad you enjoyed it. We close the coffee shop inside but everything else was available so I hope you got the opportunity to enjoy it.

Best regards and thanks again for writing
