Description: On the Rocs is a modern speakeasy lounge modeled in quintessential style. The walls remind us of a time where a spirit was forbidden and a password was need at the door. In the kitchen, the chef is preparing divine mouth watering delights certain to satisfy the most mature palette. Relax and enjoy!

Used to frequent OTR on a regular basis but had a bit of a disagreement with the bartender a couple of years ago as I wrote about in my previous review. Came back after hearing the staff had turned over.
The new staff is wonderful. Rowan, the bartender, could not have been nicer. Also made an excellent 'lumber jack' old fashioned.
The food was excellent. Went for the buy one, get one tapas. Shared crab cakes, scallops, beef taquitos and Brussels sprouts.
Excited to make on the rocs a regular stop again!

This is a very solid option as its one of the few restaurants that takes online reservations. The food (and drinks) are generally very good. (the tuna tartar was excellent) The service was very off- we had multiple waiters introduce themselves only to forget about us and then have another waitress come by, apologize and say they will take care of us.

Loved the atmosphere, place was decorated cool. My mom and I had the lobster linguine and it was SOOOO good. Perfect amount of sauce, very good portion of lobster. The cosmo and martini we had were awesome too.

Amidst the other dining options on the Killington Access Road, On The Rocs seems a bit out of place. The decor is a mix of rustic dining and 1920s Speak Easy, not typical of the area but the food is varied and quite good so it is worth venturing out to something different. The space is above Fat Italian deli but the entrance and parking is separate. It is one of the few places in the area that takes reservations so on a busy Saturday evening you may want to call ahead to guarantee your seats. The bar area is large and very comfortable and usually has a busy apres ski crowd. They specialize in more traditional cocktails from the probation era and do a good job with them. Try the Bees Knees, a gin drink that may not be on the menu but was a staple of the bathtub gin crowd. Done with better quality gin it is quite good. Food is well done and there is something for everyone. Start with tapas such as Maryland Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes or Crispy Fried Brussel Sprouts. After that you can choose from a large salad selection, a variety of interesting sandwiches or an entree such as Roasted rack of Lamb or Pan Seared Ahi, all done well. There is a kids menu so they are family friendly. Deserts are nice and after dinner drinks a must. Prices are on the high side of mid range but this is one of the nicer places in the area and usually not as crowded as some of the other nearby dinner places. If you have been to Killington and usually go out for pizza or burgers, this is a nice change.
