Formerly known as the Hilton Double Tree, Trader Duke's is in a great location right off the highway in Burlington and in an area that's bustling with all kinds of new businesses from a Kohl's and a CVS to a bagel place and a Starbucks.

The hotel itself is a bit dated but service is top notch and the rooms are fine. We didn't have any issues that other people mentioned and they even accommodated us with our requests for a crib and a microwave.

Check-in was super easy and they have plenty of parking as well. Oh and they even have luggage carts for people to use which was great as well. And did I mention free WiFi?

Beware however that breakfast is not included but you can go to their lounge for it. It's on the pricey side however so we opted to hit up local spots instead.

All in all this place is fine. Clean, affordable and conveniently located. No complaints.

Stayed here on Monday night last week knowing that the hotel had recently changed from the Doubletree by Hilton to become a Marriott property. The hotel is obviously dated and the rooms are tired and in desperate need of renovation. Being here only one night, we didn't care all that much but if we needed to stay longer we would've chosen some other hotel. Couple of issues:

1. When we got to our room, the key unlocked the lock but the door would not open. After several tries, we walked back to the front desk and were told to try the handle in the opposite direction with the explanation that the locks sometimes switch like that for no apparent reason. If so, we should've been told when we checked in to try it one way and, if it didn't open, to try it the other way.

2. After we went out to eat, we decided to stop at the bar to get a couple of glasses of wine to take back to our room. There was no bartender to be found and we had to wait a good five minutes for him to return.

Anyway, the hotel is in transition so be prepared for issues as the property changes over and renovations begin. This hotel has a long way to go before it comes up to Marriott standards.

Great Hotel for the price and the staff was top notch. However the rooms, furnishings, etc are definitely a bit dated. You can tell this is an older facility. However, the hotel was getting ready for a full renovation, so I can not wait to come back and see the transformation.

Stayed here a few nights and could not have had a worse stay. The hotel is fine. They are making upgrades and have more to do. The staff was responsive to intoxicated guests with glass bottles in the pool area, but....... The restaurant was SLOOOOOOWWWWW. We waited for dinner our first night for almost an hour. They were under staffed for sure, had a party in the party room and closed the bar off to a small private event on a Friday night. Yes they closed the bar on a Friday night!!!!! We tried the restaurant again for Saturday brunch and the lobster benedict had frozen lobster on it. Literally served frozen.. Out shower control mysteriously kept creeping to the hotter end of the dial and had to shower with one hand holding the dial to avoid being scalded. We did report this in person to the front desk, however, it was never fixed. There was also many overheard conversations about employee dissatisfaction in the hallways. I guess the move to Marriott from Hilton is not going well. I think a year from now Marriott will have it under control and it will be a good property, but it is not today...

Travelling through VT and found Trader Dukes hotel - reasonably priced and rooms were clean. Close to all the amenities and restaurants within the area.

I liked being on the main floor near the parking area - made it easy to enter and exit (just my preference)

I would consider returning next time I'm in the area.
