We were staying at the Stowe Mountain Lodge, and blanched at the cost of a hotel breakfast. Since we were checking out, and spending a little time that morning in Stowe, we decided to try the Butler's Panty, which had received very favorable reviews. Walking in the door, we were immediately disappointed by the very long lines in the hallway, but for two, the wait was only 20 minutes. We took it, and walked around the town taking in the few shops that are there.

We were back at our appointed time, and they took us within minutes.

I had the Pantry Breakfast, with an extra, cooked over easy, done perfectly, which came with a grit cake with cheese, a biscuit and two sausages patties (homemade maple flavored) -- at a very fair price. My wife had Eggs Benedict, which she said was very good.

Go here -- you won't be dissatisfied. Just make sure you et one in your party there early to shorten the line!

- Soooo good! Everything from the service to the food, and cleanliness of the restaurant was amazing!
- When we walked in, the restaurant was full but the gentlemen seating folks did his best make room for us as soon as possible (visible effort).
- During our meal our server was one of the nicest people i've ever met and made our experience more of a family breakfast rather than just me exchanging money for food.
- The food itself was worth every penny. The eggs were cooked just right, the pancakes thick and porous, and the syrup rich and full of flavor.

The only complaint i have was that the flavor of the homemade sausage was a little imbalanced. It just felt like the sweetness was battling with the savory of the sage and fennel rather than complimenting each other.

I will definitely be coming back as this was a superior experience!!!

My wife and I recently had breakfast at Butler's. It was everything we expected, great coffee quickly offered, a nice menu that covered the basics. Everything tasted of freshness and quality. I had a breakfast sandwich on a biscuit, the biscuit was over the top good. Kara gave us excellent service, thanks. I defiantly recommend this restaurant and will be back.

Great family business in a renovated classic brick building across from the most famous church in existence other than the Vatican.
