“Fabulous food and Fantastic staff”

If you've not been to Hob Nobs this ski season then you've really missed out. We ate there Saturday night, which I think was their last evening of restaurant opening during the winter.
Both the hostess and waitress were charming and attentive, they had good knowledge of the food, what was in it and how it was prepared and cooked.
The starter and the main dishes were tasty with a special mention to the Rib Eye Pork which was superb. We were so full a desert was out of the question which was a shame as the menu included fudge cake and tiramisu.
This is surely one of Stowes best restaurants.

“excellent choice! Very quiet and relaxing!”
Reviewed 4 February 2012

Just got back from the Hob Knob restaurant on a friday night and we were not disappointed! We went here for a birthday meal after doing some research on restaurants in Stowe that we have not yet tried. The very first thing we liked was that we went just as they opened at 5:30 and nobody was in the dining room! Just our family and a roaring fire! A few folks came after that, but it was a very quiet and relaxing atmosphere! The drinks were potent, which is not a complaint but a compliment. Sometimes you order a cocktail and they come watered down, but not here. The appetizers were good as well: french onion soup and tomato and mozzarella salad. The bread was hot and fresh. Main courses were enough food but not too much. My daughter got the ravioli florentine which was a real hit. My "picky" daughter got the spaghetti, which she liked but would have liked the pasta cooked a little less: "al dente." My spouse got the salmon which was great and I got the duck which was tasty and plentiful! The roasted root vegetables were a real treat as well. We weren't sure what to expect, because there are not many reviews of this restaurant, but we find it a real gem, They're only open for dinner on thursdays, fridays, and saturdays, probably because they are a bed and breakfast and there are so many restaurants in stowe. If you go just as they open at 5:30, or even a little later, you can expect a quiet meal. The server was attentive but not overly so. We have absolutely no complaints! Give it a try and you won't be disappointed.
