Stayed here for VT homecoming weekend 2017. About half an hour from campus, but much more reasonably priced than closer options. Room was clean, spacious, worked great for our family of four with a 4 and 6 year old. Very friendly staff. Best part was the complimentary breakfast buffet. Great selection, coffee was surprisingly good. And the automated pancake making machine was amazing to watch!

Nice hotel, indoor pool. Breakfast daily. Quiet hotel even though it was full. The hotel is hard to find. Located upon a hill behind Shoney's and next to two other hotels. Will stay there again when we get the chance. You can't go wrong with the Holiday Express.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating, especially the night clerk Robert. Robert went above and beyond to assist us with an issue regarding our points. This was the 2nd time we have stayed here, and find it to be a good value.

We stayed here twice in Aug, as the mid-way point in our 24 hr drive on both the way down and the way back. Clean rooms, friendly front staff. My kids enjoyed the popcorn and cookies that were out when we arrived. Short drive to a couple restaurants. We did not use the pool, but it looked clean and uncrowded when peeking in. There were 2 queen beds and one room had a chair, the other room had a couch. Neither have a pull-out couch, FYI for larger families. We have 5 and they were able to bring us a folding cot, which was nice. It was nice to have breakfast before he hit the road. It was your standard free breakfast, enough to fill us. My kids enjoyed the 2 minute pancake machine. We will definitely stay here again when traveling through the area.

We pulled off I-81 after the eclipse northern traffic apocalypse, exhausted after 8 hours on the road for only 225 miles, with no reservation. The HIE was shown as booked by telephone IHG member services but thankfully, local management hedges the bets with a few held rooms for walk-ins. GM Rhonda Cooper fixed us right up and arranged my cash down swap for my platinum elite points after the fact (an individual-property-based decision). Thanks, Rhonda.

Great comfortable room on the first floor near side entrance. Hot popcorn and cookies were out about 5:00 PM. Yum. The indoor pool looked inviting but we're too tired to take advantage of it. King bed, work desk, couch, coffee table, luggage table, TV chair and foot stool. Hard to beat for the money.

Room Tip: 113 at side door entrance for easy off-loading.
