Traditional Chinese dishes are very very good.
There are 4.5 years we go to eat sushi and sashimi in this restaurant, and EVERY TIME it's great!
Great service as well.

Have been going to this location for over a year and consistently has been the best place for sushi rolls and sashimi. We always get the Orange Beef/Steak as it has been one of the only places that doesn't have a lot of breading packed on. The spring rolls, dumplings, and negamaki are other favs. Happy hour is legit.

We love the Oriental Cafe. Always a great experience. We go for lunch and the variety of special lunch offerings is extensive. Personally love the General Tso's chicken--spicy with extra broccoli. My husband is a fan of the sushi lunch. His favorites are the spicy tuna roll and the Japanese bagel roll.
We tend to bring take out home for dinner. Had a first time experience with our son and his wife on Christmas--take out Chinese. In spite of it being a holiday the food was well prepared and done quickly. Love the stir fried bok choy and had a string bean and minced pork dish that was very well seasoned and a little different. Try the dry pepper chicken as it travels well if you're bringing something home.
Don't think you ca go wrong here. Good food, moderate prices, good service. What's not to like.

On our way to the Smokey Mountains, we stopped in at a restaurant recommended by Trip Adviser reviewers and we were very pleased we did.
A charming eatery, the Oriental Café in Harrisonburg, VA offers quite an extensive menu. We were surprised how quickly our dishes (in generous portions) showed up at our table, an indication that this would be a good choice for those locals with short lunch breaks. We were pleased that not only were the spicy Dry Pot Casserole (we elected tofu) delicious, the ingredients were all fresh—the chef had used fresh leek, fresh bamboo shoots, crispy celery, and shiitake mushroom, among other ingredients. Obviously intent on maximizing the probability of their guests' returning, the friendly and attentive waitpersons made table checks to make sure that what guests ordered were to their taste.
Folks visiting Harrisonburg and travelers on Hwy 81 would do well to check out this eatery in a street mall located across from the Costco store; they won’t be disappointed.

Ate lunch at the Oriental Cafe with a good friend today. I had never eaten there before but my lunch partner had and recommended that we give it a try. The restaurant is nicely appointed, comfortable, relatively quiet and the food was very close to a rating of excellent. Even though Harrisonburg is a town of only 50,000, there are some really good sushi restaurants here. My partner and I both had sushi with hot and sour soup. The sushi was a spicy tuna roll and a JB roll. Both were excellent, fresh, perfectly well done. The hot and sour soup were good but not quite great. After lunch the restaurant served us a complimentary apple, half skinned and cut into six pieces. It was fresh and crisp. I almost forgot to write that the Lunch was really very affordable. All of the above was $8.00 each.

So, the Oriental Cafe visit today was a first, but certainly not the last. I'm planning on bringing other friends and recommending this to my sushi eating friends. Definitely a place to try!
