Historic Christ Church is a must see and experience. It is so much a part of the history of Virginia and King Carter on the Corrotoman River. The church has no electricity accept for the organ...no heat or AC. One can truly feel what parishioners experienced 400 years ago and the learn the importance of the church in Virginia. The Visitors Center focuses on all aspects of the church, the design, it's location and it's ongoing restoration.

Interesting historical site with original seating and well maintained site. The graveyard is also interesting. Worth a stop-by.

Simply looking at the exterior of this beautiful little church is inspiring. It must be by the famous architect Wren.

we were told by the Tides Inn staff that this was a free site that you could explore on our own. but when we got there and walked to the Church, we were chased down by staff who demanded that we view the information center and then insisted that we pay a $10 "donation." The church was an interesting historical site, one which you could easily view on your own, but the info center set up could be more user friendly and more accomodating
