We so enjoyed our stay at Brierly Hill. Karen and Dave are such kind, warm, welcoming people, and their spirit truly pervades their B&B.

The garden room, where we stayed, was beautifully decorated and absolutely spotless. It was clear that Dave and Karen thought about all of the little details that would add to a guest's comfort. The sheets were perhaps the softest sheets I ever slept on; the gas fireplace kept the room cozy; the shower was huge and had beautiful stone tiles with a spa-like rain shower fixture; the chairs were super comfy... I wouldn't have changed anything. It was a room in which you could sit around and do nothing, and just enjoy being in the space, and that was exactly what we needed. The same can be said of the common areas and porches.

The breakfasts were delectable, too. On our first morning, we had a French toast stuffed with a pumpkin filling, and the next day, we were served an egg casserole that was kind of like a quiche but without the crust. Everything was just delicious, and what made it even nicer was that we could enjoy a view of the mountains during breakfast.

Dave and Karen also have the sweetest, gentlest cat and dog and it was such a treat to get to play with them, too.

The location is great, too-- the B&B is a short drive from town, and it is also located in a great place if you want to drive a little farther out to see the natural beauty of the Shenandoah Valley. Dave gave us some great tips about places to go.

Overall, I would strongly recommend this B&B and I look forward to our next visit!

The bed and breakfast was great. We were welcomed in as if we were members of their family. God has blessed Dave and his wife with the ability to be great host. Would strongly recommend staying here if you are visiting the area.

Room tip: We stayed in the Garden room. Had great sunrise and sun set views this time of year.

This isn't the B & B experience where you are on top of strangers! Brierley Hill is an absolutely beautiful bed and breakfast that is only two miles from town. It is spotless, modernized, and there is privacy. Even at breakfast the hosts have it set up with separate dining tables. We stayed in the brand new Blue Ridge cottage over the garage, which was by the Tesla charger. That was great for us, as we charged overnight and were ready to roll during the day. Our "cottage" was a beautiful new apartment with a luxurious walk in shower, great bed, fireplace, seating area, and even a kitchenette. You could cook meals and stay for a while. Everything is high end, including luxury bedding and Sferra towels. My sister was in the main building and loved her room too, especially the long views of the mountains. Karen and Dave were gracious and responsive hosts. Highly recommend!

Room tip: The cottages are worth the splurge :)

Karen and David have a wonderful bread and breakfast on a beautiful piece of land. It is super peaceful and whether you spend your time on the property or in Lexington it is well worth the trip. My wife and I spent an amazing weekend here prior to the birth of our child. It was great to get out of the city and see the countryside.

The Brierley Hill B&B is awesome! This was our second visit and it was just as wonderful as the first time....maybe better because our friends were with us. We booked the Love Seat Room this time and what a nice room, good size shower and the bed and pillows were very comfy. The breakfasts are terrific, Karen and Dave are excellent chefs and bakers (the chocolate chip cookies are delicious). We enjoyed petting Deuce, the Bernese Mtn dog, and Lily the cat. Dave and Karen's hospitality is top-notch. They are welcoming, knowledge, and very friendly. Highly recommend anyone traveling to Lexington to say at the Brierley, you won't be disappointed!

Room tip: There is a common area that has a refrigerator stocked with water/sodas, coffee maker and snacks.
