Ate at lunchtime from one of the set price menus and was pleased with the food and quantity. Had salmon tartare followed by confit de canard and then apple tart. All were delicious, the only thing missing was some vegetables, a compliant I have with most French restaurants.
The restaurants was packed and most of the diners were French, a good sign in a very tourist driven area. The service was a little slow but again that is common in France, it's just the way things are done here.
If I was in the area again I would definitely consider eating here again

We are from North America, so we clearly are uncultured in fine dining. This place tried to educate us.

The "chef's suggestion" for dinner was the $CAD24.00 hamburger. Two of our party ordered this, cooked medium, while the third in our party ordered a meal-sized seafood salad.

The salad was delivered to our table about 30 minutes before the other meals. In our uncivilized country, the recipient of this meal would wait for the other guests to receive their food, which became rather awkward as the time dragged on and this meal went uneaten.

When the hamburgers arrived, we learned that "medium" here is close to what we would consider steak tartare. While the meat was seared on the outside, it was absolutely raw inside and was, in fact, cold inside. Uncultured boors that we are, we sent the burgers back, over some reluctance by the restaurant staff, to be cooked a little longer.

The burgers were served on a bun that in our country would be delivered in a plastic bag from a bulk bakery. Foolishly, we thought it might be served on some of the wonderful bread available in France. Likewise, we foolishly thought the cheese might be one of the myriad high-quality cheeses available in France; instead, the cheese was something Kraft would be proud to sell, individually wrapped and absolutely guaranteed never to decay.

If you are from a country lacking in culinary graces, and want to learn about fine French dining, maybe avoid this restaurant.

Easy parking. Good view of Beynac. Super-friendly staff. The staff was very busy but they didn't let you sit and unprompted would tell you that they would get back to you soon when they were serving others. the food was good - confit in particular. Table wine was fine. Coupe de Beynac dessert is worth a visit by itself.

There's a big grass field in front so the kids can run around and play safely.

Staff is friendly and kind.

Food is bad. The pizzas are made of tasteless cardboard with fake cheese on top.

We had steak with cepe sauce and it was sort of ok but not what you want when in the south of France.

Salad with goat cheese is like not inspiring and you just don't get that itchy feeling.

Pasta bolognese is not to speak about so bad.

This is a very nice spot to have a quick lunch with a fantastic view of castle... the staff was very friendly and efficient, as we did not have long for our lunch. The food was good and at €31.00 for two you can't complain!
