We wanted to experience daily life with Italians in a rural area and we achieved that goal.

The land:
It was lovely to sit on the balcony and take in the lush greenery of the vines and gardens.

The food:
A buffet breakfast offered a variety of items, from yogurt and fruit, to pastries, sliced meats, toast, cereal, coffee and tea.

The dinner was delicious. And ample! Each dinner started with fresh veggies from the garden. The tomatoes were especially delicious. The highlight was leisurely dining with other guests from different countries, discussing family, work, politics, and travel.

The practice of the hosts is to only serve items from their farm or nearby region. Beverages consisted of still water, sparking water, homemade chilled red wine, and limoncello. When a Coke Zero was brought to the table, the guest was asked not to drink it at the table. Oops.

The beds are comfortable and the room very clean.

The people:

Maria was a delight. She was so warm and accommodating and was a big help arranging a car to take us to the airport.

While Tobia had many rules (no Coke Zero at his dinner table, don't lie on the grass by the pool, finish your plate), he was passionate about his work, his family, and living his values. Because we had no car, he gave us a tour of the area one afternoon and then arranged for us to have lunch at his friend's restaurant, then be driven home. What a host! Very thoughtful.

Nonno Tobia was a wonderful experience in land, food, and people.

I spent 10 days at Nonno Tobia Agriturismo with my family. Maria welcomed us very warmly and showed us around. Both Maria and Tobia were very keen to make our stay as pleasant as possible. They always helped us to plan our trips with giving us advice, directions and information on transport, traffic and absolutely everithing we needed. The location of the agriturismo is perfect, very tranquil especially at night. The bus stop is only 10 meters away and everything is accessable with public transport even in low season so can be managed without a car. Maria is an excellent cook and spoiled us with her delicious home made jams for breakfast. We are very grateful as they were able to adopt to our special needs as well. Both Maria and Tobia are an excellent and very conscientious host. Best holiday and we warmly recomend it.

Agriturismo NonnoTobia was the perfect place for our trip at Campania and the Amalfi cost! To be honest, our first plan was to visit Umbria, unfortunately due the earthquake we were forced to change our trip at the last minute...

Tobia was very attentive and replied to my flood of questions immediately and kindly, and I had the feeling it would be the best place for us to stay!!!

Our trip was a birthday vacation for my dear husband, and I wanted us to experience the "real" and authentic Italy - and so we did!

We stayed 4 magical nights at Nonno Tobia. Maria and Tobia welcomed us, not only to their home, but also to their hearts! So much love and passion are invested in that gem!!! The place is gorgeous and very well kept, our room was nice, simple and clean with a balcony, watching the beautiful views of Agerola.

Maria has a golden hands - the food she cooks is DELICIOUS, all fresh and tasty. We had fruits from their garden and homemade pastries and gems every morning! Dinner was also a real treat - we are vegetarians so Maria made sure to spoil us with great salads, vegetables, pasta and more :)
Tobia was a fantastic host, with tiny Alba (their pinscher puppy) following him everywhere, he gave us some wonderful tips and was so helpful and kind!

It was the perfect place for the perfect vacation!!!

A nice place in a quaint mountain village. The food is home cooking and the family mother cooking is a delight!

Location wise it's ~1h with buss to amalfi. There is no direct route to positano, but the ferry from amalfi is a great and quick choice.

We had a wonderful stay with Maria and Tobia at Nonnotobia. We were welcomed very warmly in their lovely garden. Maria cooks amazing dinners and Tobia knows everything about the area. They were very helpful with all our activities. Rooms are nice and clean. If you like to explore the Amalfi coast, I'd highly recommend Nonnotobia as a beautiful, quiet B&B close to Amalfi, Positano and other places. You will likely be greated by Quim, the old german shepard and Alba, the young and playful pincher. The selection of different cultures at the dinner table made for very nice conversations.

Thanks Maria and Tobia for a lovely stay

Mark
