Close to the beach and a quiet are, the food is not great we ate out alot even though we paid all inclusive, the best part was breakfast, there's no tea/coffee facilities in your room, the beds were uncomfortable, the staff were nice especially Luis on reception, there is no entertainment either, the best thing about this hotel is it's just round the corner of the lovely beach but i wouldn't stay here again.
Stayed September 2017 for 10 days. Some negatives but you get what you pay for. The nearby beach is lovely and most evenings we visited bar Boemio which had live music and great staff. Great vantage point to watch people Promenade. It was very hot with temperatures of 30c.
This is our 2nd time in this hotel, a small hotel with not much choice on meals but everything is home made & delicious! Meat chicken pasta veggies etc etc
Pool area is small but the beach is one street away which is outstanding not to mention everything you need on the doorstep.
Cockroaches: we had none but realistically you get them everywhere abroad as we do birds & flies. Some people obviously expected 5star hotel.
Lovely friendly hotel from reception to bar, restaurant and housekeeping. Very clean throughout. Food was nice we really enjoyed it. Only downside would be the mattresses on the beds could do with being replaced other than that we had a great holiday
The best from the hotel was view on Atlantic after changing the room and location. Be careful, view is only on the highest floors and even there we had to kill cockroach (only one day out of 3).
The walls are very thin, so we had wake up call of our neighbors enjoying themselves very early in the morning. We had All inclusive, but I would't pay even for breakfast - no variety, if you are only English Breakfast eater, ok but no variety, no vegetables. From sweets one cake served in different ways, once upside down, then inside out so you have feeling that once you have vanilla cake then strawberry, but in the end it is the same. Pension in Lisboa had better breakfast and was cleaner. This hotel had ALWAYS sticky cutlery!!! But have to admit that Porto vino was good and espresso as well. My recommendation is that for 5 euro you can have English breakfast at the promenade, after 10 am only, looking at the ocean and enjoying nice restaurants. If you are early bird, then Pastelarias will serve you toast or different lovely croissants, pastel de nata for 0.80 - 1.50 Euro. Espresso from 0.6 - 1.1 Euro, depending on type of coffee. Incomparably clean.
