We were very comfortable in this charming hotel. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The hotel is a close walk to all of the sites. The rooms are good size for a boutique hotel and the lounge area is cozy with a working fireplace.

We just completed a wonderful stay of two nights in Hotel El Postigo. Absolutely recommended if you are looking for a neat (modern) hotel in historic Ubeda, with a nice (small) swimming pool - the staff will be happy to provide you, with no extra charge, with towels. Friendly service, correct breakfast buffet. Clean rooms and bathroom. Cannot find anything to blame this hotel for. The best thing was the price, which we found very good value for money. Parking is quite challenging in Ubeda, with its narrow streets dating from an era in which cars had not yet been invented, but the hotel has an arrangement with the public parking place at nearby Plaza Andalucia. Unless you prefer to stay in a room inside a historic building, Hotel El Postigo is a perfect choice!

This small hotel is located in historic town, easy to walk around and nearby views over olive groves. Hotel itself modern clean, large bedroom, swimming pool, lounge. Ubeda old town has lots of pretty old squares and historic buildings. Staff friendly. Good value for money. Charming hilltop town on way from Granada to Valencia. However road works oct14 slightly slow trip on incoming road. Overall a very worthwhile 1 day stop.

We have just returned from spending two nights at the Zenit Postigo. The staff were extremely friendly and our 'superior' room was spacious, light and very comfortable. Sadly though we had the jacuzzi and not the balcony, which proved somewhat disappointing. However, we paid the extra 6 euros for breakfast which was good value and offered lovely fresh rolls, toast and a choice of cheese and charcuterie. Ubeda itself was a joy due to its unspoilt 16th century buildings, ancient walls and amazing views, whilst the hotel was very well located to enjoy all the city has to offer. The bus station is about 20 minutes walk away.

Last September, my wife and I spent four nights at this Hotel. We could not be happier with the location and attentive personnel. They were always ready to please. The hotel is modern in design and at the center of the historic area of Ubeda, a very charming renaissance town in Andalucía.

The breakfast buffet, included in the price, was simple but adequate, no warm food, but with a good selection of items. We particularly enjoyed the uncut fresh fruit every morning. The peaches and plums were delicious.

The rooms are good size and of modern design, fitted with some of the modern conveniences you expect in a three star accommodation. However, and to our surprise, we noticed some rather unusual problems in the rooms, mostly related to the design and construction of them.

A few hours after our arrival, I noticed that the towel rack next to the bath tub/shower seemed to be coming unattached from the wall. Also, my wife tried to open a drawer in the closet and the whole front panel of it came off. On the shower problem the obvious difficulty was that no grab bar was installed and most likely some previous guest had leaned on or grabbed the towel rack to get in or out of the shower, and in consequence the rack was partially detached from the wall.

We are senior traveler and not always sure footed getting in and out of the bath tub. Therefore, on our second day we asked to be changed to a different room, perhaps one with just a shower. The hotel personnel did just that and there were no more problems for the rest of our stay.

I must say that in spite of the problems encountered, this hotel gave us the best value of all the seven hotels we stayed at on our trip.

Anyone wishing to have good, quiet, modern accommodations, and excellent value in Ubeda could not go wrong with this hotel.
