We enjoyed a lot our stay in this hotel. We started off with a back massage of 40 minutes. The masseur was very nice and we came out feeling relieved of our back pains !
We then went to the restaurant where we enjoyed a full dinner (entry/main/dessert). It was different from what we use to eat, very tasteful and not expensive at all !
We highly recommend this hotel, it's also very well located and you can easily park outside. Great time in Ubeda

Once you find it (you'll need a satnav), the location is conveniently central and the parking is via a lift, which takes a little negotiation but can be done. But the decor as you enter starts to tell the story - old-fashioned and characterless; you know this is a hotel you won't remember. The receptionist is friendly and speaks English; the room is conventionally fitted in that traditional dark Spanish wood which saps the spirits. The pool brightens our evening - it is 1.5m throughout with no shallow area so not brilliant for kids, but good for adults and older children to cool off. The bar area, on the other hand, is unforgivably unwelcoming and no-one in their right mind could enjoy a drink there. But it's breakfast that means we wouldn't stay here again: it takes place in a cavernous, characterless conference room, the rubber pellets of supposedly scrambled egg cooling into industrial rubber, the dried out, fried bacon curling in the heat, the orange juice straight from a 1 euro Don Simon carton, the coffee machine almost certainly not filled with anything connected with coffee, the dish of fruit dirty and filled with ageing specimens. Even the breaks looks cheap. Book on booking.com and it will tell you that breakfast is 8 euros, which it certainly isn't worth; however the actual cost is 14.50 euros, which must make it the most expensive, worst value meal in all of Ubeda. The name Sercotel suggest this must be part of a chain; if it is, i'll be avoiding the entire brand in future. There are plenty of brilliant hotels in the old towns and cities of Spain, so there's no need to start the new day in one like this.

I havent even gone to sleep and i already know i'm going to wake up with a headache. They pump some awful fragrance into the room which is about to make me retch. I've got tissue stuck up my nose and i've looked everywhere for how it's getting in the room. Horrible. Awful. I may have to go to the couch in the hallway.

We stayed at the Rosaleda de Don Pedro for one night and didn't want to leave. We were impressed by this hotel from the minute we walked into reception, the check in was quick and the receptionist very friendly. Very comfortable and good sized room for our family of 4, absolutely spotlessly clean with ample towels and air conditioned rooms. We had had a long train journey from Madrid to nearby Linares-Baeza so we made good use of the plunge pool when we arrived, which was so refreshing. If we had stayed at the hotel longer we would have used the spa. We ate in the restaurant, had the menu del dia, 3 courses for 12€ and the food was delicious. At check out the next day we asked if reception could keep our luggage for a couple of hours to allow us to explore the town and this was no problem. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, it was very reasonably priced, we will definitely be back.
