Just returned with my wife from a 7 night stay at the Elegance Vista Blava in Cala Millor. It is advertised as a star hotel and in my opinion the rating is spot on.

We arrived after a 90 minute transfer from Palma and the reception on arrival was ok, very quick with no real issues. However the room we were allocated was pool facing and was like a furnace, the aircon was circulating warm air!! We raised this with reception and we were eventually moved to another room whereby the aircon unit did emitted cool air!

The food was pretty much as expected, fish, pork, chicken and chips and salads but towards the end of our week it became somewhat mundane. A point to note is that the restaurant can become very warm and the aircon did NOT circulate very well at all.

The pool was ok and as we were there during the last week in May it was not too busy and sun beds were plentiful. Just a shame that it was only on our last day that some background music was played!

The bar area is of a good size but again nothing really happens there apart from the fact that you can enjoy your drinks from a glass.

The staff in the hotel all appeared friendly, very diligent and a ready smile on there faces. A mention to Cati and Maria who were always happy to pass pleasantries.

All in all our stay was ok, we booked just 3 days before so it was just a last minute decision and the Vista Blava suited our needs and was adequate - no more no less.

To start with we weren’t keen however we ended up having a lovely stay here. Breakfast was limited and repetitive but always toast, fruit, egg, cereal and Spanish bacon etc. Lunch and dinner are fine! Always plenty options. Always some form of fish, meat as well as rice/pasta, veg, chips and a few other things and your salad bar.
We stayed for 10 days and location is fab. In between two other nice towns within walking distance and very close to bars, restaurants and the beach. Small ish pool but was good for lounging around. Local buses can take you further afield as well.
We had our 6mnth old son with us and the staff loved having him there. Cati and Maria at the bar are the most warming and lovely people. Made us feel so welcome. They went out there way to help keep our son entertained. We received a lovely message written from Cati on a card. Can’t praise them enough for making our holiday so nice.

Basic but can't fault the cleanliness. Food was ok but you get what you pay for. Ana from reception is delightful! Very helpful indeed ! Thanks for getting us to the airport Ana! Near the beach and bars so really convenient too .

Cheap and cheerful sums this high 2 star bottom 3 star hotel. bedrooms are clean but dated, food is basic western, don't go if you don't like pork or chicken. we were half board and it was ample but I'd be complaining if we had been all inclusive1/3pt plastic glasses and you were only allowed two at a time. The hotel is run down in areas much like the surrounding streets. we never saw a kids play area, tv lounge or 'pools', just one pool + kids section, both pool steps were broken.

Room Tip: overlooking pool area is best the outside views of deralict cafes and bars could be mistaken for 3 world accomadation,
