Just returned from a week's holiday at La Luna, and I have to question what all the fuss is about! We booked online and it clearly stated we were staying at La Luna hotel, and the price reflected this. If you looked at prices for Levante hotel and Levante Park hotel, they were much more expensive, but when you can use all the facilities of both these hotel, but pay much less staying at La Luna, why wouldn't you?? We ate exactly the same food as everyone else, used both swimming pools at those hotels and enjoyed the same level of service as everyone else!!! Our room was perfectly adequate for our needs, as we had no desire to swing any cats around, and it allowed us to sleep, shower, change and make hot drinks in comfort. If there was one thing we would change about our room in La Luna, that would be extra sockets, as there was only one and that made it awkward to charge up electrical appliances when doing anything else. However, when we decide to come back to Cala Bona we will most definitely book to stay in La Luna, as the value for money is excellent!

Room Tip: Sea view rooms are great.

Booked into La Luna via Levante, was told this was part of the Levante Complex, However the brochures don't show how small these room are.The sign on the Door of the La Luna stated the accomodation was a 2* Hostal. Our welcome pack welcomed us to our GOLD ROOM -our room was approx 25' x 15'. the space between the draw unit with the TV on was and the bed was no more than 12 inches wide and we had to squeeze past one at a time (fortunately neither my wife and I are big people). The rep told us this was the smallest room in the block so avoid room 104 if you book the La Luna There was only one plug with a multi adaptor, so you could only charge one item at a time. The bath room was adequate, but no way a 4* bathroom. The room was clean and towels changed daily, We had to eat at the Levante Park (registered at Levante -which was all strange) On the plus side the staff were efficient and friendly and meals very good although a bit repetitive if staying longer than a week. Thomsons need to sort this confusion out,the brochures offer you 4*star facilities, but beware the LA LUNA is only 2* accomodation

Room Tip: 105 is reportedly the best room in the block -104 the smallest

Booked via Thomsons back in January and at no point online did it point out that we were not staying in Levante. All of the advertising used is of Levante to sell all three accommodations in three separate buildings. After a few emails and one to TUI directors funnily enough the links we booked through have disappeared but the new ones are still not clear that LaLuna is a far cry from the rest of the hotel and nowhere near worth what they charge for it.

This is accommodation I would NEVER agree to stay in. One plug socket for the whole apartment and without the keycard in the slot, that goes off so you lose the fridge every time you leave, fridge had been off for a time when we arrived to a puddle and it stunk, after grovelling at reception for a second keycard it was too late as in this heat fridge was growing mold. Plus we had to decide between charging our cameras and phones v the fridge (yes we took a trailing lead socket but sadly who carries an adapter to turn the continental plug into an English one?)

Apartment was tiny and very dated, bathroom appalling as no ventilation at all and very little light with a bath only suitable for a ten year old.

Levantes facilities are at bursting point as they don't have capacity for their own guests let alone taking on this "bedroom annex" around the corner, another 21 rooms which when full is at least 42 people which is about a third of the sun beds gone right away...restaurant always very busy and food is very average. All tinned fruit and squash and the other night mussels which were not open and would not have been advisable to eat.

The beach is a public beach and you need to pay to use the beds and parasols, which you'll def have to do if you are not up getting a sunbed by 6am.

They don't check anybody even in the restaurant so anyone from any of the surrounding apartments can happily walk in and use all the facilities. Absolute joke!

You won't find any pictures of LaLuna or in fact Levante Park when you book this holiday and as we paid £1900 for a week I'm seething as I would most definitely have gone somewhere else had I know.

Also when we tried to get moved via the rep he had been telling Thomsons all season about the problem be they did nothing about it. Apparently they deal with a complaint regarding the misrepresentation of the apartments, on average, every two days.
