Me and my boyfriend stopped at the Bellevue Lagomonte for 10 nights from the 23rd of July to the 2nd August and honestly had a brilliant stay.

We arrived late at night and check in was quick and easy. We went straight up to our room which was a twin room and although the rooms were a bit dated, we had nothing to complain about. The shower was excellent, beds weren't the comfiest but as expected, still managed to get a decent nights sleep, there was a big mirror in the bathroom and one above a desk in the bedroom. The wardrobe space was adequate and we had plenty of hanging space. The TV was dated and we found it only had one English channel when we turned it on while we were getting ready to go out but this not bother us as we didn't go to watch TV. The balcony was a decent size and had chairs on it. Our towels were changes daily and bed sheets changed regularly. Cleaners always did an excellent job!

The food was as expected for a 3 star all inclusive. You shouldn't expect michelin stars but the food was good. I am a very fussy eater but always found something that I liked on offer.
Breakfast - Always fried eggs and pancakes prepared in front of you as well as having omelet, bacon, sausage, often hash browns, beans, cereals, yoghurt and fruit. There was also a huge selection of bread to choose from and a toaster.
Lunch - Again, there was still a huge selection of bread and lots of cold meats on offer. They also had out chips. This was similar to Dinner meal but Dinner had much more variety.
Dinner - Always one Fish and one meat cooked in front of you and you were asked whether you would like one or two pieces. As well as this there was always chips, rice and pasta, another meat dish another fish dish, salad and cold meats and again the selection of bread. There were 4 sauces offered including one gravy, one curry sauce, and two pasta sauces once of which would be a vegetarian option. Deserts included tubs of ice cream, sponges, jam rolls, fruit, jelly and mousse.
Snack bar - The snack bar was open from 10am until 6pm catering for any munchies you may have between meals. On the snack bar there was always a small salad selection, burgers and chips and also usually a saucy dish such as pasta.

Pool area's were cleaned once in the morning and once at night, we didn't use the pool at the hotel at all but we often used the one on the lake in the afternoon as this was the quietest and we only once arrived to find there were no sunbeds available although the pools are small they are adequate for the number of guests stopping at the hotel.

The shops and restaurants are only a five minute (if that) walk from the hotel and the 5km long beach is about a 10-15 minute walk. There was also a ting ting train outside the hotel which did a tour of Port D'Alcudia and at 3 euro's per person we often hopped on to have a ride to the port.

The main bar opened at 8pm and unlike a lot of all inclusive hotels you were aloud to order up to 4 drinks per person. The bar staff were friendly and tried to keep the queues short however this was sometimes not possible. Some of the cocktails were from a machine where as others they made fresh (I suggest you try Liams Cocktail - delicious).

The entertainment was mainly aimed at kids and so we did not tend to stop around instead we would have a few drinks in the hotel before going for a walk, we then often found a nice pub near the lake and sat and had a drink. If you don't mind looking around for a little while, there were often pubs with live music on in the area.

We thought this hotel was very good value for money but had a few complaints:
Wifi - There is no free wifi option, we paid 20 euros for 7 days of wifi on one device as we needed it to get out boarding card for a flight and find out transfer times while we were out there as we had booked through ice lolly and we managed to do this. However, it was very slow and only really worked in the lobby area which would not have bothered me if it had been free.
Entertainment - As mentioned above, the entertainment was not very entertaining.
Rooms - not very soundproof, you could hear people wheeling their cases along the corridor when arriving/leaving.

The island isn't huge with only an hours drive on the motorway from Alcudia to Palma at the opposite side of the island so I definitely recommend getting car hire while you are out there, or if not some of the excursions on offer are great. We enjoyed:
Island tour - bus, boat, tram and train rides along and through the mountains on the west coast with stops in Sa Calobra and Port De Soiler which are both beautiful.
Pirate adventure show - this is great for anyone kids and adults with comedy, acrobatics, action and contortionists included in this show - absolutely amazing!
Katmandu - This is a park which lots 4D cinema's, two mini golf courses and a big climbing frame with a bungee on it.
Caves of Drach, Arta and Campenet - These three caves were all amazing and absolutely beautiful inside. These are perfect when it is very hot as it is much cooler in the caves.
Palma Cathedral - Definitely worth a visit, absolutely beautiful place.
Marineland - Exellent for kids and adults alike. It is not very big only spent a couple of hours there but the dolphin and sea lion shows were amazing!

Overall - I think this hotel is brilliant for anyone on a budget. It's not glitz and glamour but it is a nice, clean and laid back hotel which is in a lovely resort. I think this is suitable for couples (like us) as well as families, as there is plenty for the kids to get involved in. The shops/bars are only a short walk away and are open late and the beach is beautiful.

We stayed at BV Lagamonte between 23-30 July.

This hotel was highly recommended to us by friends who'd stayed there 5 years previously......oh dear! It seems that, back then, it was just Lagamonte. Suspect the BV is significant

Initial impressions were favourable; the hotel is kept very clean. As usual in Majorca, the cleaning staff are always hardworking. Reception staff very efficient and polite. Bar staff varied widely, as other reviews have indicated. Ramon and Virginia always had a smile on their faces, elsewhere that was less common.

Room was adequate, 2nd floor, pool view. The only downside being the barely functioning air-conditioning. You had to be in a very narrow area to get any benefit from it. Somehow, we managed to sleep reasonably well throughout our stay. There were ants in the room, although, as Majorca has a hot climate, this is not unexpected. Yes, the walls are thin, and on the first night the next-door neighbours returned late and caused a disturbance. It might be a tad unfair to call them noisy, it's just that they made no effort to be quiet; acting just like they would at home. No problems after that though happily. I have to say, the hotel clientele were probably the best we've experienced at any hotel in Alcudia that we've visited, but it maybe that's just the luck of the draw! I didn't hear a single example of anyone asking for "2 beers", the word "please" always followed. Yes, I know it's a basic courtesy, but it's amazing how often it gets "forgotten".

Food. Hmmm yes, well. We arrived on a Thursday, to be spoilt rotten by the evening meal, repeated on our last night - also a Thursday. This review is being written by probably the least fussy eater ever, so if this comes across as negative, you're reading it correctly. Breakfast was consistently the best meal, although the lack of mushrooms was a let-down. No issue with the dining room staff, wholly excellent. The only snack bar is on the island (as far as we could ascertain), and this provides a very basic burgers/pasta menu. Ice cream and crisps etc could be obtained from the pool bar in addition.

Underage drinking. Saw at least 3 examples of this, one of which was marginal, but the colour of the wristband was a bit of a giveaway. The worst example was a child, probably aged 4/5, seen drinking beer, wait for it....in the company of parents! This was queried by a member of staff and subsequently removed. This family were not British, so maybe it's a cultural thing. Last example was a table of year 7/8 kids, one of whom helped himself to a glass of beer.

Sunbeds. NOT ENOUGH. The pool area is vast, undoubtedly the best we've experienced, as it offers day long exposure to the sun. Shame then, that you had to be up pre-dawn to get a sunbed, even though there are signs displayed all over stating that "it's not allowed to reserve sunbeds with towels". Needless to say, nothing was ever done to enforce this, although, in fairness, it's hard to see how this could be achieved without a 24/7 presence. One night we actually, rather cheekily, left our towels on sunbeds before retiring for the night, around 1.30am and yes, they were still there the next morning, even if the parasol had been removed. Fortunately we realised who'd 'pinched' it - as it was where we'd got it from in the first place - so were able to retrieve it before the masses arrived, around 10am. You can try this, if a 6am alarm call isn't your thing.

Entertainment. I'm not going to make any criticism of the animacion team, who, as always, work tirelessly throughout the day...it's our choice not to partake. The events board seemed very misleading, in that it didn't seem to reflect what was actually happening...perhaps this was just us I don't know. We ventured out most nights, to either the White Rose, Shine Bar, or Jolly Roger, all of which are excellent in their own way.

The hotel provides a complimentary hourly shuttle service to the beach, a good thing as it's a 20min walk otherwise.

The regular mini train service is an excellent way to see the resort, although they must make an absolute mint, charging €3 per person for any journey.

Picnic bags are provided on request, if you are looking to leave the hotel for the day. Quite impressed, although the first one was rather better quality than the second, which contained an apple with such a bruise it resembled the death star.

Late checkout. Although we regularly asked about the availability of this - our flight home was 11.30pm and checkout is noon - we were always told; "ask when you checkout." From this response, we guessed the ultimate answer would be no, and this proved to be the case. Thankfully we were able to get the use of a shower room, for half an hour, at 6.30pm which did the job.

A pleasant break, although I have to say we won't be returning. To Alcudia, yes, to BV Lagamonte, no.

Room Tip: Low floor, pool view, seems best. Right hand side of hotel has rooms whose view is impaired by trees. Rear rooms overlook lower balconies.

I stayed at the BV Lagomonte earlier this month, shared a twin room with my partner which had a great shower, AC that actually worked and a balcony overlooking the pool area and lake - very pretty, no rowdy guests or overly loud music.

Towels replaced if left on the floor, sheets/room cleaned daily - never once interrupted always done whilst we were out very pleasant to come back to new sheets/tidy room.

Food was what you expect from an all inclusive hotel, not the best Majorca has to offer but far from a disgrace as I've read in another recent review.

Breakfast - Fresh Yogurt / Fruit / Eggs / Pancakes with your usual full English equivalent, cereal, selection of bread, cold meats and cheeses.

Lunch/Dinner - Freshly cooked meat (lamb, pork, chicken, steak etc. - varied daily) usually 3 different dishes one usually fish, meat and a veggie. You could always find chips, wedges or garlic butter potatoes. Selection of pasta & rice with 4 sauces usually 2 tomato based, 1 curry and then a stock gravy option - soup of the day always available. Desert consisted of the usual sponge puddings, fresh fruit, ice cream, rice pudding, jelly & puff pastry rolls etc. Less options usually available at Lunch with the Dinner meal often having the most variety.

Snack bar open all day on the lake island (Consisted of Salad, Cold Meat, Chips & Burgers every day with a single varied) self-service. Pool area had a bar again open all day serving up to 4 drinks per person spirits, beer, cocktails and sangria available until around 6pm approx. when the evening meals started and larger indoor bar opened same 4 drink limit per person.

Pool Area & Lake Area cleaned twice daily, once in the morning then again after 8pm approx. Although busy we always managed to find seating, usual towel reservations at the crack of dawn and often a queue for the lake - however again we always found ourselves some place to sit / sun bathe.

Although a very good value for money hotel we did have a few small complaints. Wi-Fi costs 20 euro and didn't work for us outside the reception which at times became very frustrating especially after paying for a service that is supposed to be hotel wide.

Night entertainment - The entertainment itself which started usually around 9-10pm was never very entertaining, we left this most nights and either had an early night or walked to the local bars/shops as they were always opened late (closed around 1am). kids disco each night at the hotel which always appeared a little repetitive to me however all the kids involved seemed to love it, they especially seems to get along well with the entertainment staff.

Overview - I would recommend this hotel to anyone on a budget, you won’t find glamour here but you will have a good time. Ting Ting bus just outside 3 euros to the beach or 5minute walk to the beach front (beautiful beach 3miles long, we often walked into the port along the beach and then took the Ting Ting train back to the hotel), canals that run from the lake and through the main strip aren’t to be overlooked either - plenty of bars / restaurants that sit beautifully located near these.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the mountains are perfect for anyone looking for a complete peace and quiet.

I have never been to Alcudia before. It is a lovely area consisting with the usual commercial area and also some lovely historic traditional parts (old castle walled town) which has a huge market on Tuesday and Sundays. There is also a train/vehicle that regularly stops outside the hotel and for a small fee will take you to the popular areas nearby. The hotel does have WIFI for a fee and free air con in rooms. Evening entertainment every night!

As usual people were reserving sunbeds with towels despite signage threatening removal of towels but this never happened. The annoying thing is often these sunbeds, which were reserved wasn't even occupied, as most people were out for the day??? People where reserving the sun beds from around 5am!!!which leads to the next point.

The sound insulation in this hotel is extreme poor and I was awoken by the constant banging of doors and people walking around during the night putting towels on sunbeds! I am a pretty heavy sleeper and resulted in me buying ear plugs!!!

Both my partner and I are fussy eaters, I personally found the food was bland at times and there wasn't always a great variety with the food. The selection was very small compared to other hotels. This resulted in us spending far more than we budgeted for by eating out.

The Staff are all very friendly and helpful. The Hotel was exceptionally clean with a cleaner visiting your room on a daily basis.

There is plenty to do around the area with lots of shops, bars and restaurants nearby.

When booking our holiday via Tomson's It states that the beach was 10 minutes away I would disagree and say it was more of a good 20 minute walk however both my partner and I enjoy walking so want a issue for us.

Returned home 2nd Aug 2015.
Just had a lovely week here, great location & very clean.
After reading some reviews earlier we were a little worried about what the food might be like, but it was very good with so much choice... Fresh baked bread ( often still warm), fresh eggs cooked in front of you & so much more. loved the Mexican food night.
Our 13 yr old son loved it & the entertainment staff all worked really hard.
One thing I must say was sooo nice was that we didn't have to get up at 7am to reserve a sun lounger, often went down after 9am & still a few sunbeds available with plenty of room around them to turn throughout the day .... Not like our friends hotel (Alcudia Pins) they had to get up before 7am every morning just to reserve their beds ( 2" between them) for the day & never had a family breakfast together because if they left the beds for 5 mins a hotel staff member would take their towels off.
Did Hydro park ( 10 mins walk away) with friends kids age 10-13 & they all loved it!!
Loved walking round the lake everyday & never got one mosquito bike between us.
We would recommend this super family hotel to everyone.
Enjoy. Xxx
