Firstly I would stay that I personally do not enjoy Spain at all. It's not a country I like to visit but my partner needed a break with good sunshine and this is more or less guaranteed in Gran Canaria.

Hotel is of a high standard which one would expect from a Radisson and the staff are extremely good and helpful. However, if you want privacy here in terms of sound transfer between rooms then that's practically non existent - may as well have no walls at all. There is little or no sound insulation between the rooms and one can basically here a pin drop in the adjacent rooms not to mention loud talking guests and screaming children - Quite appalling really. However, if you don't mind others knowing what you are doing and can put up with loud guests and kids constantly screaming then this is the place for you as the facilities overall are very good. Hover, there are no "adult" only areas as with the pools which is not good. Again, if you can put up with the constant barrage of screaming kids not to mention their "activities" in the pools then it's the place for you.

In terms of the food - not good at all - The so called "hot" breakfasts simply aren't. They are not even luke warm and not particularly enjoyable. Furthermore one should never serve certain food stuffs at less than the correct temperature. Same goes for most of the evening meals we had. Also, pastries and other desert items should always without exception be served under covers to avoid fly and other contamination and never at room temperature. This basic anti contamination procedure was non existent. I guess it's the same old story - if you want decent food then don't go to Spain although as a "foodie" I am perfectly aware of excellent restaurants with good credentials as well as Michelin stars and have eaten at these places and they are excellent but one has to go a very long way to find anything half way decent to eat elsewhere - the hotel is no exception.

I appreciate this is a family hotel but there should be adult only areas including pools where one can escape the incessant noise of screaming kids especially those under two - why parents bring that age group away to places like this is beyond me.

But the hotel is exceptionally clean and well presented and the gardens and upkeep is exceptional. The hotel staff work hard to maintain these high standards and this is to be commended as is there help and assistance.

first of all; i got upgraded to a suite when i arrived as the staff was aware that i wanted to be on the same floor as my parents. I ended up getting a huge suite 2 rooms away from my parents. they have tennis court and other great facilities. its clean and hygenic. they have a super market in the hotel where you can buy snacks, wine, essentials...i will definitely be back. would not have to leave the hotel as you have everything you need right there!

We booked a 'Superior' Suite hoping that this would provide a 'decent' balcony/outlook rather than some of the rather sparse so-called 'suites' we have experienced elsewhere. However, we were staggered by the huge size of the room. far too big to use properly. We could have invited 44 people to a cocktail party in the room/balcony and given every one of them a comfy seat!

I have never before experienced a hotel room with so much equipment. Fridge, wine cooler fridge, hob, oven, microwave, two freezers, washing machine, dishwasher, hot tub etc.

The staff are very attentive, friendly, and competent, and in-hotel prices 'reasonable' for such a quality hotel. The 222 restaurant is Michelin-rated on its own account and we enjoyed both times we visited.

Our purpose for this week's holiday was to relax and unwind, and we achieved this perfectly. Local 'things to do' might appear limited to some with wider aspirations than our own. There are not too many (but enough) other bars/shops within walking distance.

The room view was excellent, but although south-facing, the amount of sun on the balcony (mid-May) was negligible.
