Spectacular views from outside across the ay and rooftops of Cadaques, the walk up through the pretty cobble streets is worth it in itself. The church was closed and pitch dark!! Luckily I saw the box to the left as you enter, you can pay to switch on the lights and reveal the splendor of the altar!!!!!

Walk up the neat small streets to the church. It is free and only 1 euro to turn on altar lights. Good photo opportunities from outside the church of the city and harbor.

The walk up from the beach is through narrow, cobbled, bougainvillea lined streets and the view over Cadaques is worth the walk in itself. However, go into the church and marvel at the beautifully carved wooden structure behind the altar. It is atmospheric without the lights on, and dazzling when illuminated. Don't miss it.

I'm not a church lover and generally avoid at all times but this little gem is worth the history and has stunning views across Cadaques just outside.

The huge alter front of the church appeared to be all and carved and gilded wood. It was quite spectacular and very different from churches we have seen in France and Italy.
They appreciate 1€ donation per person, but it wasn't required. Another euro lights up the stunning alter in its glowing gold gilding.
Very much worth the walk up the winding flower filled streets.
