The restaurant is situated on the boardwalk in the central part of Cadaques, so it is hard to miss. Seeing as it was a warm sunny day, we wanted to sit outside, but all the outdoor seating was full. We were a bit reluctant to eat inside, but due to the good reviews we decided to give it a go. Best decision in a long time.
The restaurant offers standard tapas and dishes, but they reinvent them in their own way. For starters we shared the zucchini roll with goat cheese and tomato comfit and the baby squid croquetas. The zucchini were really fresh and perfect for a warm day. I did not know what to expect from the croquetas and I was stunned at how delicious they were. Some of the best I have ever had.
For second we had the scallops with artichoke pure and jamon as well as the grilled octopus with potatoes and "padron" peppers. Octopus and scallops are often great in Spain, but these were even better!
Finally we finished with a cheese plate with some fig jam and the "all chocolate" dessert, which consists of 6 different chocolate textures; ice cream, cookie, brownie, mousse, truffle, cream (or something like that).
This was the best meal we had during our stay and we will be happy to visit the restaurant again when we return to Cadaques!
