a nice tunnel, small for so many people, maybe that is where the good people from Calella hide when howling commandos go out to disturb visitors

You have to know where to go (through the kiddy area with the yellow dinosaur!), but this is well worth half an hour of your time. One euro to enter, but free on Sundays (open between 10 and 2pm).

You enter the main tunnel, lit with what seem to be original electric lights, there are photos to look at and read about, side tunnels which are sealed but with life-size cutouts of the people who would have been sheltering there at the time fo the Civil War, and at the far end, a fragmented film account of first-hand experiences. The disjointed nature of their accounts as civilians is fascinating and evocative in itself, and well worth staying to watch.

This was the third time we had tried to visit and this time we were successful. Well worth the 1 euro entrance. We were here about 40 minutes but the story of the air raid shelter and the civil war was very interesting. Would have love to see more.

A little bit of history, not expensive or time consuming, you get a feel of what it must have been like for people in the shelter. Information written in English translation.

Tucked away in the corner of the park is this small but interesting piece of history. Won't take up too much of your time but I was glad I visited,
