We loved the campground. Our children LOVED the bunnies!! Most of the employees were nice. The place was very clean and well kept. Bunnies are everywhere and they love fruit loops. =) Not a very big laundry room but it worked out. There was plenty of things for the kids to do.

What a great place to camp. Everyone is friendly, helpful and smiling. Facility is clean. Nothing like sitting back and enjoying nature at its best. Everyone should plan a campground visit here where your kids can run around and you don't have to worry about them because they are looking at the bunnies, fishing or riding the bikes.

We heard about this campground through friends. We stayed for the first time in the Spring of 2015, and went back several more times that year (and plan to return this year).

Low points:
The campsites are VERY close together. If you don't have much experience getting your camper into sites, it might be best not to camp here until you do. Also, there isn't much privacy (b/c of the sites being so close together), but we have other campgrounds that we like to go to when peace and quiet are what we're looking for.

A lot of the kids/teens here are not supervised by parents/guardians (not the fault of the campground). We have seen kids being bullied by other kids at the jumping pillow, the pool, etc. It appears that these are local kids, dropped off for the day (I say this because I've seen kids dropped off on each occasion we've visited the campground). As long as you watch your own kids, there are no issues.

Bottom sites by the river tend to be pretty muddy at times.

LOTS of people/kids everywhere all the time. Kids who are camping are going to be riding bikes, being loud, etc. That is how kids are! Not a problem for us, but it is for some who like things quieter.

Spotty wifi...if that's what you do when you're camping

Not sure how the cable tv is...again, we "disconnect" when we're camping

Sprint phone signal is very spotty as well, I've been told Verizon signal is pretty good.

High Points:

People watching and meeting! We have met some of the nicest people at campgrounds.

Bunnies everywhere! I know some people don't appreciate that, but we LOVE it! The grand kids (and us, too) love feeding them the rabbit food you can purchase in the camp store. The bunnies kind of hang out with you during your stay. They're fun to watch.

On the weekends there is dj music/karaoke in the pavilion. We're not much on karaoke, but it's fun to go in to hear a few songs the dj plays, and dance with our grandkids. :)

FLOATING THE RIVER! You can rent their tubes or bring your own. Floating the river is our favorite thing about this campground. It takes an average of 45 minutes-1 hour to float once, depending on where you enter the river. At the end of the float is a beautiful waterfall.

Someone mentioned the campfire smoke hanging in the lower end of the campground. Isn't that to be expected at a campground?

Ice cream truck
Snow cones
Pool (heated and open late)
Jumping pillow (although it's not covered so it gets pretty hot on your feet in the summer (no shoes allowed on it)
Pizza, wings, etc. can be purchased at a small order up window. Great for quick lunches between activities.
Great variety of items in the camp store/gift shop, but some things are a little pricey.
Staff always very friendly and helpful

Overall, I give this campground a big thumbs up! Can't wait to go back!

We were hopeful when we booked this campground. We told the girl on the phone the size of our trailer and also that we had 3 dogs. They told us no problem, but after a long stressful drive because of "holiday traffic" we arrived to find the site was way to small for our 22ft trailer and they had about 30 to 50 bunny rabbits! My dogs were going nuts! I mean they are pretty well behaved around kids, other pets, even cats but rabbits and these were domestic bunnies. That is something you should mention when campers tell you they have dogs!! We did not stay.

We used this campground as a base camp to visit Shenandoah National Park and the beginning of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Excellent on off from the interstate and 30 minutes to park entrance.
This campground is so clean and well kept. The store/office is well stocked and very very cute. They have a sitting area for enjoying their breakfast/lunch offerings. Felt like home with the antiques and comfy seats. The owners were helpful about the area and had well thought out handouts about area activities, stores, restaurants, winerys. The cable was great. We had no troubles get our dish. I would put this near the top of my list! They have great facilities for group activities like, a huge smoker, bbq, flat top for pancakes, huge, outdoor cooker. Great place for groups to gather around a fire, play cornhole horse shoes, tug of war etc. Pool was covered but looked large and well kept area.
I just wish these great campgrounds would make a dog park for us many many travelers who take their companions with them. I would have them refer to the best park I have been to for dog lovers in Gunnison Colorado Paradise Valley..
