⁃ The motel is in Virginia Beach close to the Chesapeake Tunnel bridge (route 13) and a Navy base and is easily accessible via road.
⁃ It is about 12 miles from the main boardwalk in 'downtown' Virginia Beach. Uber fares were about $20 each way, before tips, from the hotel to the boardwalk.
⁃ The hotel has kitchenette that includes a reasonably sized fridge, oven with electric cooktop, small microwave, a few kitchen cabinets and coffee maker (With coffee, creamer and sugar for 3)
⁃ It has a full shower, toilet and sink on the outside. They provide towels, guest size soap, lotion and shampoo.
⁃ It has a flatscreen TV with basic channels. It is not high definition which was a surprise. I haven't watched 'grainy' standard definition in a while.
⁃ It was almost full by the time I checked in (Saturday before Labor Day) but hotels in Virginia Beach are fully booked during summer. I stayed there for 1 day only so my review may not be a true representation of an average stay at the hotel.
⁃ I got a room with 2 full beds. The room has a dresser, radio alarm clock, a small dining table, safe and ironing board.
⁃ The parking lot is adequate.
⁃ The cleaning crew did its best under the circumstances as the hotel is very dated. They cleaned it as best as they could.
⁃ They don't allow for really early check in and I observed people being asked to come in from 2.00 pm onwards. They do charge if you want to stay past 1 hour after the 11.00 am checkout.
⁃ The AC worked well (August) It works as a heater too.
⁃ I didn't eat breakfast but they have a breakfast serving point at the reception front office.
⁃ I didn't use their wifi but they do have hotel wifi.
⁃ There is a shopping center within walking distance that has a well stocked Food Lion supermarket, a few fast food restaurants (Arby's and Taco Bell) a Chinese takeout restaurant, a Mexican restaurant and a thrift store.
⁃ It was quiet when I stayed there. (Saturday night)
⁃ If you don't mind staying in a hotel that hasn't been updated in a while, then this is a cheaper alternative to the expensive rooms by the popular boardwalk 12 miles away. The carpet, furnishings, lamps, tables and dressers are dated. Closing a hotel in Virginia Beach for renovations is probably not economically feasible as it is a tourist destination and this may be the reason why it hasn't been renovated in a while.
⁃ I normally don't even notice such trivialities but I could sense that it is probably due for an update. It looks dated but doesn't smell dated, a good thing.
⁃ The ladies at the reception were friendly and check in and checkout was a breeze as long as you were doing so at the listed times.
⁃ There is public transportation from downtown Virginia Beach to the hotel. I used the bus from 19th and Pacific Avenue (a popular bus stop in downtown) and I used 2 buses. It takes a while and the bus drops you 0.4 miles, a 7-10 minute walking distance. Use google maps to plan your public transit. The buses operate intermittently and didn't run the Sunday before Labor Day, so be mindful of that.

This Inn was clean, safe and comfortable. The front desk staff was courteous and friendly. Very convenient to stores and a few restaurants.

Like others have said..if you want cheap,it"s ok. The bathroom has never been updated and I would think Wyndham would be embarassed to put their name on it.Had to close my eyes every time I turned the bathroom light on,thought you were at a disco. Fan was Very loud, shower head leaking into the wall..but pressure was good lol. Put kids beside us :( ( I have 4 ) slammed the door for hrs.Hair dryer didn"t work, but another was brought. Breakfast was a joke at best. This is our 3rd HJ ,shame on us...it is our last.
